Has anyone here had experience with
BCS Automotive (Brake Caliper Specialists)? I'm thinking of sending my OEM Calipers to them for painting in their Brembo red colour under their 'Lifetime Warranty' service. Mind you, it's not cheap at circa £380 plus delivery each way

. Not for just now obviously, as I have a BBK fitted (although I'm getting incredibly peeved with the constant loud
chirping from the OSF), but they'll be going back on sometime in the future prior to selling the car so I thought I'd get them all neat and tidy.
I've previously used BCS Automotive/Brake Caliper Specialists back in 2018, to recondition a set of STi rear brembo's. There was several issues during the process, initally there was a delay which meant the process took about three weeks from them receiving the calipers to me getting them back, despite being told they'll take less than a week. They then forgot to stencil (
there's a proper term for it rather than stencil, but I can't remember what it is) the logo onto them, I asked if they could just use stickers instead and they tried to charge me like £30, so I made a fuss and told them not to worry about the stickers and bought some myself for like £3 off ebay. When I received the calipers back they already had stickers on them. The finish was good and lasted 6 years before I had the calipers reconditioned again, they still had the usual kind of chips and marks. Several other people I know who used them around the same time as me, also had problems with them.
In 2023 I needed to get my front AP Racing calipers refurbished, I therefore also decided to also get the above rears done again, so the finish matched. This time round I used a similar named company, Brake Caliper Refurbs (
https://brakecaliperrefurbs.co.uk/) - They are a sister company to Questmead, one of the largest AP racing parts stockists in the UK. I recieved a much better service, can't comment exactly on the lead time, as it was done through a third party. But they did a proper strip down and produced an engineering report for me, which funnily enough reported some quality control issues with my rear calipers. The finish on the calipers is excellent, however the only issue, more an OCD annoyance than anything else, they also painted the brake fluid hydraulic feed on the front AP calipers. If you look on their Facebook feed, they basically do this on all their refurbs.
In-fact I just double checked and most of the brake refurbishment companies do this. Other than that I'd happily use BCR again, they weren't exactly cheap but around what I'd expect to pay.
Two other refurbishment companies to consider:
1. Bigg Red -

2. Godspeed (
