GR86 GR86 - Auto Fold Mirror Kit

From TRAC in Australia. Bought it direct in August - 10 days from order to delivery - then had to wait till the car arrived. [[October]]
 
I'm a little confused, lots of cases where the trac module worked on this thread, and just one where it doesn't open on keyless but otherwise fine.

They're now refusing to sell any to the UK as above, and I queried if it could be install error but that isn't possible due to the connectors. So 2 out of the 25 sales not working , do we know who they are? [emoji848]

I'd like to just take the risk but not sure they're going to allow it, but I'm not sure where they'd go from here to fix it? Easier for them to just stop any orders to the UK indefinitely and focus on other countries perhaps

Same as, having enquired myself.
 
I actually asked them if the 2 cars that didn't work were proper EU Spec cars or JDM imports. However, they didn't reply.

All I want is the mirror fold function, the window closure I don't actually want, as it's nice to be able to leave the windows open.

I still got the AliX module, when I get back to the UK in mid Nov, I'm going to get a meter onto it and try and figure out what the output wires do. It defnitely is working as the unit clicks on and off for the window closure. I think the pin-outs are wrong and nothing more.

If the Trac module hadn't worked I would have done this. I think it will work it just needs done pins swapped

The window closure can be changed with software configuration so you don't need to pay extra for that.
 
Guys, is it a safe bet to order one via AliX, or are these ones having issues? I am guessing they are all made from the same place anyhoo, just a different sticker on them.

I think I'm the other one. Standard UK car, went through testing which pins had signal on lock and unlock, swapped the pins around (under guidance from TRAC), just didn't work. They are convinced the box wasn't the issue, so we called it a day. I've asked that they keep me in the loop if they get it working.

AliX ones doesn't work, I have one. They even sent me a different loom as the original loom didn't have the same wires as on the car.

Can you send pics of the loom, so I can compare the wire positions to the AliX one I got.

Did it work at all or just a dud? All the AliX one done was click a couple of times, which to me meant the unit was supplying power to do the window closure.

No problem, there will be a delay as I'm in the US at the moment, back mid Nov.

I also tried the AliX one, which also didn't work.

The TRAC one didn't do anything. The pass through worked, ie the doors locked, windows worked and the mirrors folded all on the buttons, just nothing from the remote.

I was up for trying a replacement box, but the guy seemed a little offended me suggesting it might be that.

Disappointed doesn't cover it, but I did get the hang of door cards on and off.
 
On a separate note, I went to the Toyota dealership in Santa Barbara, they use a toyota app for locking and unlocking the cars as well as getting usage data.

I've asked TGB to comment...

thats good timing, I'm away from UK till mid Nov too!
 
I bought my car from an earlier poster on this thread whose TRAC module didn’t work on keyless. I bought one myself from TRAC and it works fine both on key and keyless. 🤷‍♂️
