GR86 Coding via service departments.

Unlocking Doors: It's under the [Body Electrical] [Body Control] Sections, then using the yellow [Utility] button you can select [Unit Customising], which gives you a dropdown list wherein you can select [Driver's Door Unlock Selection] = ALL and [Select Unlock Switch] = ALL. Once changes are made click [Next] to save.

Windows from Fob: Same sections. Dropdown option [Remote Key link Power Window Setting] = from 'No Support' to Support.

Hope that helps?
Thanks for this again as mine is being serviced this week and the dealer failed to find the door setting the last 2 times I asked them . Hoping for 3rd time lucky as my passengers are not too happy waiting for me to get in and press the button on the door (or remember to take the key out of my pocket and press the unlock twice).

Amazing how so many 'technicians' can't find the settings even though they are, presumably, reasonably familiar with TechStream.
I'd never used it before and it took just a few minutes to change everything I wanted...

I'm almost certainly missing something obvious here, but I can't get Techstream to work as it needs the activation key, which I don't have....

I've read the thread a few times and checked YouTube, but can't see what I'm doing wrong. Any help appreciated!

Are you running 'patch.exe' to launch it?

Ok so I've lost track of this, what's the definitive guide for getting Toyota to program windows down on key and unlock all doors not just drivers.

Going to try and get them to do it again at first service 😂
Did you get Toyota to program the windows to be used on the key fob? If they did which dealer did you use? Jemca Bracknell said they they couldn't do mine.

Well apparently Jemca Bracknell did it after I sent them the instructions but not convinced it works. I left quickly without checking.

I might pop back in there soon and see how confident they now sound. Thanks.

Hey,
Can someone paste a screenshot what can you diagnose within "Health" checks status? I wonder how deep can you actually see any errors that won't trigger CEL.

Can someone please help me out getting techstream working on my PC.

According to the instructions that came with the cable, I installed the latest software and then it says I should install the driver. The driver that came with the cable is blocked by windows saying it contains ransomware. Can anyone share the driver for the mini-vci cable? It's as far as I have been able to get, so excuse me if I may have further questions once I get past this bit!

Is it simply installing the driver and then launching the software via the 'patch' as it mentions in the instructions?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately Windows thinks the driver is malware, even though it's not. Can't remember how I did it, but there's a way to override the block and force it to install, but I can't remember how I did it now. Think I had to disable Windows Defender temporarily or something.

Try this video. It may help.

Thanks. With your note, I had the courage to assume the file is not virus infected and played around with the various settings in windows to install the driver.

Disabled the fake noise and went for a quick spin - it's night and day and I am so glad I went through the pain of installing techstream and learning how to use it!!

I’ve received the correct lead now and have downloaded the software. I’ve loaded the program via the Techstream Patch 32bit but I don’t appear to have the utility option that other people are showing on the screenshots, any idea?View attachment 20296

Maybe a driver/dll hasn't installed properly? It might be worth starting from scratch with the install, rebooting etc. After I'd activated the software I'm certain that it just somehow appeared there ...

Thx for your support sonic.
In the last two hours I’ve tried a virtualbox Win7 Ultimate (Sp1) 64Bit with the Autokent 64Bit drivers and then it was fine . Maybe the old win7 32Bit Netbook I’ve used before was too slow (1GB Ram and Intel N Processor). Now I’ve disabled the fake sound thingy, enabled the key fob windows opener and disabled the stupid auto air circulation function :)
but I can’t find the function to disable the keyless support like in the Yaris. Maybe I’m blind or it’s just not possible? :-/
The item “keyless control -> off” disabled the key fob buttons, but the keyless function still worked 😅

The fail-safe way to disable the smart entry system is to use the door method as described in the eManual. However, it's quite complicated to follow, so I produced a YouTube Video Short to assist. Play the video on your mobile whilst sitting in the car and just follow the instructions as dictated. If completed correctly the smart entry will be disabled - you'll then have to use the fob to access the car and hold the key to the start button before you can use the ignition.

Oh dear, should’ve rtfm first 🫣
Thank you so much again sonic!
