Can always use the syvecs AWD controller. That is a pity.
I really liked the 30/70 setting. The car rotated more on first throttle input.
I thought we had a variable switch we could adjust it manually between 60/40 and 30/70

It's gone. How I understand it the new track setting is made to maximise laptimes in grip driving, shuffling torque front-aft to minimise over and understeer. In the AV vid here the tester lost his drifts in that setting. That is a pity.

Maybe more programming is done on the software side to sent more power to the outside wheel. We will have to find out for ourselves. It's gone. Personally I always use the 50:50 setting as I found it the most consistent. New gravel mode description is apt, for fast, competitive driving on circuits or special stages. A little more front neg camber (1 toyota bolt each side) fixed the rotation on the old one, maybe not needed on new one from the above vid so you perhaps need not worry for the new one.
"The new digital instruments and larger infotainment screen have been brought together in one massive housing. It isn't what you'd call pretty - and it's hardly made from the finest plastics either - but it does angle everything towards you for a more driver-focused environment. The only real downside here is that I couldn't for the life of me find the 'developed for FIA WRC' gel sticker that featured on the old car. Shame."
Only way to do that with torsens is by braking an inner wheel which is extremely difficult to make it feel natural/intuitive. Better to tune in balance with drive fore/aft and geo grip balance...Maybe more programming is done on the software side to sent more power to the outside wheel. I have not seen no LSD diff option so maybe it is dropped ? No option mk1 rarest of all specs?Any news on the euro spec?
Premium pack
Seat heating
Steeringwheel heating
Park sensor front rear
JBL sound system
Forged wheels like on old spec is also an option.
Is the standard car always equipped with the torsen Diffs?
I don’t need the premium pack and i don’t need the forged wheels either.
From the PH ice test linked to earlier:
I was hoping that the plastics for the new dash would at least be better quality, but doesn't look like it judging from the comment above. Also no FIA WRC badge, if that's important to some...
You can do this. And you have a dashboard that is 1000 times nicer than the MK2.I do like the improved visibility and wish the OG had the option to remove the display or have it lower in the dash (some best motoring hot version videos have the JDM version without this and it looks ideal)…
From a more minor cosmetics point of view I also like the IC spray and the fact it has a mode that says “gravel” on the dial as that’s a neat touch and is just cool for some reason to me. The kudos of the original and wrc badge is probably enough of an offset for me though in that regard.
I prefer to have mechanical setup, and no electrical control. also could be bad for brakes (and extra heat) if they would be used as in VW or Ford.Only way to do that with torsens is by braking an inner wheel which is extremely difficult to make it feel natural/intuitive. Better to tune in balance with drive fore/aft and geo grip balance...
I've been having internal debate with adding a water/meth injection to the car to cool CAT (temps) down hot laps but ended in conclusion does not really need one as not racing. You can do this. And you have a dashboard that is 1000 times nicer than the MK2.
The IC Spray is a cool feature... but it just doesn't help. Had this in my Evo 8 and we tested it on the dyno. Well, only with Water it's like homeopathic medicine.
Note on comment "improve reliability", not actually making it fully reliable. All Euro spec cars have the circuit pack as there was little or no demand for the normal version.

proper way to add mechanical LSD (friction plate) and adjust per plates/ramps.Only way to do that with torsens is by braking an inner wheel which is extremely difficult to make it feel natural/intuitive. Better to tune in balance with drive fore/aft and geo grip balance...
How many sunglasses do you haveThat dropped navi screen looks nice but then you loose sunglasses container. but that's a good design idea.
just one and haven't used them for 6 months now due to winter but they're still there. How many sunglasses do you have? Mannnn put it @ another spot
.
That’s really cool! I am going to assume it’s not reversible? Looks so much better, was that self done or a kit?You can do this. And you have a dashboard that is 1000 times nicer than the MK2.
