GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Today I looked out of the window into the bright spring sunshine and reflected on how happy I am I chose silver.

That's so nice, let us know how you get on. Maybe a good alternative to Ohlins?

Got those, KW, Ohlins on the my list to do at some point
 
Took mine to the dealer to have the emergency call thingy recall sorted, only for it to have already been sorted prior to delivery 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had the rear seats adjusted while there tho (they had some wobble like others on here have had), so not a total waste of a trip.

Took a look in the neighbouring Lexus garage, where an RCF was looking very nice!

I look forward to your thoughts. I was toying with the idea of just going for lowering springs but I think a high quality kit like this or the Ohlins (when they finally come out with theirs) is worth saving up for.
What spring rates did you go for?
 
Installed my HKS Hipermax S today. It’s a quality kit and the install was smooth with the provided manual. Too early to tell how it drives and I definitely need to get an alignment but initial thought it feels a little tighter but still comfortable.
5.0 kg / 6.5 kg springs F/R which is ~60% stiffer than stock.
Currently about 25-30 mm lower than stock but can go lower still if I want.

Would love to see some more pics of those fender duct fins - trying to decide whether I ‘need’ them or not! Have you some close ups to show how seamless the join is with the existing trim? Am I right in thinking they are gloss?

I can take a few more tomorrow but maybe this video already helps to get a better idea:



The two fins that I have marked in the image below do not exactly line up. It looks slightly strange from some angles but too minor to bother me. When you stand close to the car and look down to this transition you will also notice a little gap between these two fins. If you have no idea about this detail you will very likely not notice it.

The TRD part is matte but in a different way. I would say it is less light-reflective which might also help to make it look a bit darker. You can easily tell that you look at two merged parts when you compare their surface.

Anyway, the overall look is great and I am very happy with these TRD fender duct fins 🥰

Disconnected the sound generator in preparation for the new exhaust. Much prefer it without but it’s very quiet now and easy to run into the limiter.

I would contact the toyota online team to get that refunded, i had it done for free. it's in the manual, its in other countries cars as a toggle option.

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but wipers operation has been coded/labelled wrongly. Twist away from you for slow operation and towards you for fast. While stoke indication for operation has been labelled opposite. Picture showing slowest speed setting on my car.
