GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

I still can’t get my head round the ins group 45D, which is v8 AMD /M3 territory.
It's a combination of the 86 curse, and the fact that if you fart on an EV, they write it off. So if you do a big skid into most cars these days, the insurance company are probably going to be liable for tens of thousands of pounds even if it's a minor collision.

What happened there then?
Car booked in for service and mot, told to drop it off by 10 to collect by 3, drop it off at 9 come back at 3.30 and its not been started, by 4 o clock they’re telling me it’s going to fail its mot due to the winter wheels not having tpms, just before 6 i have a serviced car and an mot fail sheet ( or so i thought! )

Not sure my summer tyres are still legal so get it booked in for a pair in the black friday kwik fit sale

Check the service paperwork, car has low coolant, they don’t stock it so will need to order it in, they didn’t tell me this, coolant sourced next day from another garage for 30% less than toyota quoted

Wheels on and coolant topped up, phone for the retest, told to bring it in first thing tomorrow and they’ll get straight on it, turn up first thing the next day, they tell me to leave it with them, i explain what i was told, i have to leave it there anyway, 2 hours later i have an mot

Am I correct in assuming that the rear differential on the 86 has both a 'fill' and a 'drain' plug? I've twinged my back and can't crawl under to look and I want to order some diff oil and plugs/crush washers. I have part references for all.

Today’s ‘least appropriate car on the building site’ award goes tooooo…

First MoT passed

Now need to sort the service and enjoy the annual "make sure you've got the oil filter in stock please", "we've done the service but you'll have to come back for the oil filter as we didn't have one in stock" farce.

Booked my 3rd Service & MOT over at Toyota Hamilton - they've got from now until March 30th to get an Oil Filter but, I'll be sure to have one in the boot just in case ... ;)

It's the air filter that my dealership was short of for this service - and as far as I can tell they still haven't got it in yet.

Not really a problem for me - I've got the Toyota GR86 Performance Air Intake System on mine, which has a lifetime K&N filter. I've also got Brembo BBK, aftermarket wheels and have specified that the car is not to be washed or road tested - actually, I reckon I should get some money back on the fixed price service with all the time I've saved them!?

I wonder if they’ll heed my “no screen wash please” request this time. Lost a full tank of RainX mixture last service!
