I bought the harness from the US but they are easily found in the EU and UK. I would have bought from anywhere but it came down to shipped price and the US supplier found a (much) cheaper shipping option.Hi there, love that set-up. Where did you purchase that harness ? How is the lap belt secured at the base of behind the seat. Clamped with the original bolt ? Any chance to see a few pics of the securing points please ?
Have GReat day down-under !
Yeah its pretty uncommon here for people to even swap them, especially in the south. There's one place round here that seems to do storage though. In Sweden tyrefitters will store your set for £50 or even less...
It’s the tropical weather we have down here.Yeah its pretty uncommon here for people to even swap them, especially in the south. There's one place round here that seems to do storage though.
Tire wise, it was patchable! I'll consider it on borrowed time, and it is getting close-ish to the wear markers now anyway
Fun fact though: I think that must have been at least partially wedged in my tire for a couple of days. I noticed a vibration in the car between 20-30mph, which has now disappeared. Surprised such a small screw could have such an effect tbh
For getting places (not getting stuck), possibly the former. For safety the latter. It’s the tropical weather we have down here.
My local Toyota dealership offers storage but as the temperature has been mild over the last few winters I’m in no rush to swap. But I do wonder in a proper winter what would be better the Yaris with 4WD and summer tyres or my C1 with all seasons.
C1 with all seasons I reckon. AWD might get you moving, but it's not going going to help with the stoppingIt’s the tropical weather we have down here.

That’s impressive. I don’t think I’ve ever seen less than about 9, but then I do drive like a complete sleeve.drove with normal mode and used auto start stop first time in traffic on purpose.
almost got below 6ltr/100km in city.
yes usually here also around 9-11ltr/100km. winter tires seem to be more efficient which is bit strange but what do you know. That’s impressive. I don’t think I’ve ever seen less than about 9, but then I do drive like a complete sleeve.
I did sort-of-hypermile to Amsterdam and back in the A6 at the weekend though and managed to average 4.9l/100km (57.6mpg, conversion fans) which is pretty good going for such a big bus, and demonstrates almost unprecedented restraint on my part![]()
Last year I had an appointment by car in Munich and was 2 hours early. I learned one thing from it. You can drive the car with 5l, behind a truck at 90km/h.drove with normal mode and used auto start stop first time in traffic on purpose.
almost got below 6ltr/100km in city.
