GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Can't say I've ever had that with either of my knobs, even the one that is extensively polished

However it doesn't take a lot of force to actually unthread it, but it sounds like you've somehow managed to twist it mid change?

Are YOU the inspiration for that King Missile song??? I won't tell anyone. Honest. :)

I imagine we're about the same age. It seems like everyone I know who's about the same age as I am-- which is "In college when WinAmp was released" years old-- had a copy of that song.

Managed to get my collision avoidance to fail - warning on dash - it happened as I enthusiastically took a left turn past a car waiting to exit the junction (plenty of room) cleared next time I restarted.

Happened to me once, too. It was after taking the parking deck spiral ramp at the Frankfurt Airport at a quick clip. My theory is that the quickly panning view makes it worry that something's broken.

In my old Smart Roadster Coupe, I made myself dizzy on that that same spiral ramp without really trying.

Did you supply the oil ?. Mines in for the same service next month, did everything go ok
I didn't supply the oil but confirmed with them that they would be using the correct grade. This was verified when they showed me the oil to be used that was printed on the job sheet.

Everything went ok, but I asked if they would look to replace the sill scuff plates as they are starting to corrode, and they forgot to do it!

Two years and 15k miles in and I still have the plastic covers on the sill scuff plates (not to mention the accelerator pedal and drivers door card). 🥴

valet 1 today.webp

My car was in good company whilst having some titivation

I just could not resist this piece of engineering.
You probably all are familiar with this picture below ; I bought and mounted the Eventuri inlet.

I love the sight of it, but even more the engineering behind it as explained by Bilal in the Evolve youtube video.
Also performance wise it does actually does give peak boost earlier because the turbo can work more efficiently.

I do have to do some more testing on the DTUK V2, but with this intake it's really my first time I can even drive with map# 2 in +3 without any issues!
Did a lot of runs yesterday at OAT's of around 20 degrees Celcius.
This specific map used to be notorious for me and gave a limp mode in +1 after some spirited driving, early in the spool-up.

Very happy with this inlet.
It is in real life truly a peace of art.

OK not today but yesterday had a mini traffic light Grand Prix with a youth in an Audi S3. I can still be childish at 59!
Always amazes me how quick this car is off the line with a good launch. Not sure of revs, just what feels right, prob about 3.5k I’d guess and a smooth clutch.

(Smoked him by the way)

Got 38mpg without really trying too hard on the way back from Leeds (hour and a half on the M1, going south, so obviously downhill).

Then got 20mpg on the B664.

What a car.
Driving South is mint...let gravity take hold with the car in neutral and MPG bouncing around 99.9. On this, driving in reverse also helps reduce mileage on the ODO. True FACT. If you perfect this then tyre tread increases, too. Depreciation busting.
