GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I'm the last one to defend cyclists, but driving at them, or around them at speed, isn't cool mate.
I can assure all, my post was a tongue in cheek post. I will never endanger any other road user or myself driving in any vehicle. Regarding driving at cyclists, If I'm on my side of the road and the cyclists are riding 3 a breast what am I supposed to do.

I think 99% understood the humor in your post✌️

It's the 1% that don't that is the problem and confirmed in their dangerous behavior. Many GR enthusiasts are also cyclists.... As if that should matter, roads are for all people regardless of what form of transportation they chose for the day.

Categorising people never is a good idea, that includes putting everyone on a bicycle in the same.

I'm sorry I even have to write this, but unfortunately there are too many reasons...

Fab morning driving it with some Lotus pals in Derbyshire. Pics of the White Crew. Also spotted another GR at our breakfast stop - post in Spotted section

Did a detour to a karting race yesterday. Drove one Special Stage that has been used in 1000 lakes rally back in the days. the passanger who did not know the car was quite impressed of its capabilities on smaller roads.

GR not so economical, takes usually 10ltr/100km no matter how you drive it.

It’s over a year old so needed new windscreen wipers.

As recommended elsewhere on the forum, Bosch twin kit 601S did the job perfectly, although I’m not sure the branding is required, guys.

Lovely weather so got the car out. A pleasant drive through the countryside. Nearly got to my 641 miles so soon can floor it. Will have a drive out this evening to get past the point of running it in. Only just realised how crap the range is. I’m off on a 2500 mile European road trip soon so will be constantly in petrol stations.

Ach, it’ll only be 10-12 fill-ups 😂
May be more than that with the mountain passes that we will be doing. Also a friend who has one with a fair few miles on reported 9 mpg on a run home the once. Even I’ve seen a 17.9 mpg without going over 5k rpm or putting my foot to the floor.

Finally installed side visors.

Google translate of Japanese install manual photo was not very helpful. We'll see how the things hold when I go for a first drive... (takes 30+ hrs for adhesive to cure fully?!)
Now only gear shifter mount + cables bushings and horn left. Seems my mechanic has had enough of my GRY modding, won't answer return my calls to install those... :ROFLMAO:
Thankfully, my street is still a gravel rally stage, so I'm still on winter rims and tyres and not driving the car at all. I can wait ('till tarmac arrives). ;)

Ah, no, we can't have that.

We're eagerly awaiting feedback on the thread for these (well, the gear shifter mount + cables bushings).

So, they can only skip the horn, but they need to do the rest 😊

lol why does the Exige look so small in the middle!? o_O
Lol - hadn't noticed that 😂. The car in the middle is an Elise and the car on a right in an S3 Exige (3.5 V6 and bigger all round than S1 & S2 Exige). That said, there must be something weird going on with perspective as the Elise does look ridiculously small 🫢

My bad, not good with my Lotus's lol :ROFLMAO: :giggle:
But yes the Elise is tiny between them from the perspective of that photo lol! Cool pic though! (y)

Had me a little drive and wandered past the place I got my safety check done by and remembered they had that GR86 demonstrator. Didn't have long as they were closing.

Was a nice blue one, only had 20 mins... It's quite nice on the twisties and surprisingly lively, but I didn't get The Fizz the same way I did in the Yaris. I liked but didn't love it. Slightly disappointed, I guess.

I know I'm biased as I own a GR (with a tiny little scratch on the bumper plastics as it turned out, overgrowing bushes and narrow roads, and a surprise HGV)

-edit-

Thing I disliked the most actually was the indicators. They didn't seen to auto cancel. Also I wasn't particularly fond of the gear change.

Slightly weird question...has anyone else noticed you have to press really hard on the pedal to get real full throttle?

I've been using foot to the floor full throttle for a while thinking how great it is, but at some point today I pushed really hard and found like a new mode. I thought I was imagining it but tried it several times and when I push really hard it's like a boost mode...I'm like wooohoooo, has anyone else noticed? Is there a TPS setting I can monitor?
