Drove my car from the Cotswolds to Scotland for Xmas (320 odd miles). Absolutely rubbish experience on the motorway and my ears were ringing, not fun.
Fell in love with it again on a B road for the final 20 miles or so of the journey, it’s just something else isn’t it? I live too far from the good roads now. Was able to flow along in 4th, nothing wild but it was getting dark and there were really good sight lines, plus it was a little greasy so enjoyed some sharp turning in to break traction and early power, resulting in some lowish speed drifting round lots of them (as it’s a timber lorry route, they were nice and wide as well).
Not really done that before with it and it was eminently controllable throughout which was super fun. Think it’s just as nice a way to enjoy the roads vs worrying about the speed creeping up to stupidly high levels. Maybe I need a GR86 instead
