GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Same as you mate. I’ve installed black power flex gearbox torque mount insert and I can’t feel a difference at all…
Nice to know I'm not the only one (I guess?)

How would you describe your gearbox feel?

This is what it is supposed to look like if intact, even though many of us had mistaken this for a damaged one. The new one Toyota put in place of this one is EXACTLY the same.
Are you suggesting that the mounts come from the factory with those tears?

The Collins torque mount made a difference to me in terms of shifting felt smoother when pushing on where shifting in this car feels great. slow speed/stop-start traffic however is awful in this car

I have noticed a handful of times, 1st to second at low speeds feels like I have to use more effort to get the shifter into gear, I'm quite aware of it so careful when shifting at low speeds but will probably get someone to look at it at the next service

Mine was like that for 4 years, Toyota at around a few hundred miles adjusted the linkage but it only improved it rather than solving it sadly.

Snowed a little, not a lot but obviously salt brigades of Mordor rolled out and now i have special paint job, lower half of the car in nice white... i just cleaned it 2 days ago 😥

Replaced the rear wheel studs with 10mm longer ones.

The puller makes it easier to get straight at the hub bolts by holding the axle in.

Yes, lots of people change them by knocking out and pulling in the new ones without issue. I have the correct tools and the time to do it correctly, so I remove the hub and press them in/out.

Did the nuts come off the end of the driveshafts ok? I have heard horror stories about the nuts chewing the threads up.....

Had an old set of winters put on the forged alloys. Was a bit nervous but other than a slightest nick, it's all good!
Snow set for early in year - perfick!

Jealous of your lift. I wish my garage was tall enough for one!

“How much salt do you want?”
“Yes”
Love the premium, ultra rare two tone paintjob ;)
We will see who will rust more, mighty Yaris or my ageing knees. Of course when to a wash later that day, I think I was really unlucky and went on a road shortly after maintenance truck.
