GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

It all comes down to what you prioritize in a car and how you want it to function. Personally, I have long arms, so reaching anything on the dash in the MK1 has never been an issue.

That said, Toyota ruined the MK1’s interior with the horrible, tacked-on, outdated iPad-looking POS slapped in the middle of the dashboard. I despise it every single day, which is why deleting that screen for good and replacing it with the RC blank panel is still on my to-do list. Aside from that, I actually like the rest of the dash—it’s simple and clean, especially with the analog dials.

On the MK2, the screen integration is much better—it’s more cohesive and doesn’t look like an afterthought. Even though I don’t love the overall dash layout or the digital readout, I can admit that two things can be true at the same time: if you want an infotainment screen, the MK2 execution is undeniably better.

However, if you hate infotainment screens as much as I do—especially Toyota ones that age like shit—then the MK1 is the superior choice. At least in the MK1, you have the option to replace that POS screen with a factory part and clean up the dash. On the MK2, that’s simply not possible because the screen is fully integrated, and removing it would leave an ugly blank space, making it a complete waste.

- Adjusted / tightened the handbrake drums.
- Cleaned and relubed the brake pad guide pins. front brakes seems to be really sticky so maybe there's need to update seals and pistons with better materials. Any experiences with this issue and how it was resolved are warmly welcome!
- cleaned the wheels after weekend rush.

should pass emission tests w/o problems?
Yeah it’s a 300 cell and still have the GPF in place so shouldn’t pose any problems at all on emissions, but will get it nicely warmed up before taking for its yearly MOT (UK mandatory road worthiness exam).
