GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

None that I could tell, I wasn't really looking out for it but it certainly didn't feel any laggier
I should probably also add the only pipes that were changed were the ones that connect to the intercooler, rest of the pipework is OEM, easier install and from what I've read dotted about here stock pipes are better for response in theory

stock pipes are quite juice straws but maybe they give more response.

So with stock pipes but larger intercooler there are still benefits but with larger pipe work would be increased benefits?

From what I've read, summary is along the lines of bigger pipes aren't needed until you start going towards bigger turbo route modding wise, and bigger intercooler and larger pipes could add turbo lag although probably minimal

There's a thread here about it and also on the other gry forum that I left after it became ad central

I fitted a printed intake tube to try and reduce air intake temperatures. I wanted to keep the stock air filter, there aren't many aftermarket options for this.

Having removed the old numberplate, used the rubber wheel thing, a fair amount of Goo Gone and elbow grease, I then discovered that the number plate that I'd bought was too small.

So the 226x156 will be going on a shelf somewhere with all my other spare numberplates, and I've ordered a 303x152.

Thinking now though that I might like to attatch it with plastic screws rather than the horrid sticky pads.

Is there a drilling guide/template/jig to use or will it be a case of measure ten times and drill once?

I know you've already ordered but just fyi, I've had an 11x8 numberplate on the rear of mine since I got it which is 279mm x 203mm
Might have been a better option.

I've used JDMplates for a while and that's not a size they offer.

ah fair enough, I used demonplates for mine
I've ordered one from them as well - I'll compare the two and choose which one to fit.

And likley after I've messed up drilling that one, I'll stick on the one I didn't prefer :)

Took mine for a decent drive after the 48 month service. Rain cometh (again) and no washers. Well there was some flow but even a urologist would have decided there was no hope. Stopped at a mate's place to top up the reservoir but it was already full. Today did the investigation. Luckily, as the whole system is well hidden and covered, there is a joiner next to the scuttle. Pulled the hose and tested the pump and supply and much to the dismay of my burmese kitten that had alighted onto the airbox the water sprayed strongly. So the problem is in the piping that is 99.97% hidden. Great. Popped the nozzles off with the aid of a trim tool and brute force over ignorance and the nozzles were clean. Air blew the tubing and there was water ejaculated. Back together and nope not much better. Back to the tubing. Poked some wire down the off side and found an obstruction! big more jiggery pokery and it started to break up and the air pushed out an ant's nest about 50mm long! All good now but that is ridiculous. Barely two days between the service where the washer was part of the routine test and the ants creating a cofferdam. Easy to fix thankfully. I didn't fancy pulling inner guards and whatever else was in the way to get the washer bottle and pump out.

Not only today, but every morning the last month id say, whenever I get in the car in the morning it smells really bad. Like old fart. Granted I do fart in the car, but experience smelling under my comforter at night, the fart smell should eventually disappear.

Could it be that my car has developed the perfect biological microsystem preserving the old fart smell from the seats in near perfect condition over night? Am I on the verge of a scientific breakthrough here, or is there anything else wrong?

My car is meticulously cleaned once per week. No old fries or banan anywhere to be fond.
