Called again today, because it's nearly September. Dealer has no other notice than arriving in September ... he said toyota won't give tracking codes anymore because of so many complaining and trying to force by lawyer...It just depends in which country you order. Swedish guys dont have to wait for long aswell. Im waiting since 17 month now and the car will probably arrive after 18 month.
Yeah it probably has something to do with how many are sold/allocated to a particular country. I'm from Finland so probably very few sold, since they cost so much here. Well, all cars are super expensive here.10 months ago? How did you manage that. Most of us are well over a year.
Driving our Volvo V40 at the moment. It's a good car. Quiet, safe, planted, efficient on long journeys. Objectively a good car. I just can't get used to it even after some years it feels to heavy and the engine is like all the other 2.0 boosted standard in line 4. Torque as he'll but in upper rpm band it feels horrible. The car made me realise I am weighting drive train and handling way more than comfort and practicality. Therefore the decision for the GRYif you have any other cars
Not UK. Different market, different demand.10 months ago? How did you manage that. Most of us are well over a year.
Going to feel nice getting the GRY.Driving our Volvo V40 at the moment. It's a good car. Quiet, safe, planted, efficient on long journeys. Objectively a good car. The car I "subscribed to" is a 2022 Peugeot 308 SW. The problem is we started loving the wagon, how spacious and nice it is on the inside with all the latest tech. Many times we had the whole car packed. So going from that to a tiny Yaris will be a challenge. Power/drivetrain of the 1.5 diesel Peugeot is as boring as it gets so I will get over it after a ride or two in the Yaris for sure. I am not sure if "look how good it drives" will be enough to impress my gf thoughDriving our Volvo V40 at the moment. It's a good car. Quiet, safe, planted, efficient on long journeys. Absolutely with you. My perfect set up would be the GRY and a corolla hybrid wagon. One for whenever I like to drive and one for duty jobs. The car I "subscribed to" is a 2022 Peugeot 308 SW. I got a “reservation” down with Honda. They reckon once you get a proper deposit down (est Sept/Oct) you should get your car Jan/Feb.Should have ordered sooner, some of us have owned the car for 18+ months
What I would say is even if you did order a Type R the lead time would be longer than your Yaris.
There are plenty for sale in UK on Auto Trader but all trading above RRP. One from a "Specialist" has been there for 2 months at £39995...It's kind of interesting. In Switzerland there are about 90 GRY for sale Online. I went to the Toyota dealer, made a testdrive bought it and picked it up 1 Day later. And i paid 5000 Chf. under the list price with 1000km
Exactly what they probably want to do if you cancel. Don't. Just sit it outOh, did I mentioned, that the dealer send me a mail? He told me there is no possibility the car would arrive in September as told over the entire last year... he said he won't give any date at the moment because the toyota network will not give any information yet. I have to "wait till it arrives or cancel the order". Uhm sure... and dealer sells car for 45 k eur when arriving. I got the feeling this is the plan with the 37k orders from last year after all. Cook the customer with the waiting time. If he drops, take the car and sell it for far more.
