Hey,

Just got my new summer wheels for this year, Autec Clubracing Evo 9x17 +45 wrapped in 255/40‘s.

Not a lot of space between the weights and the caliper but everywhere else its fine.

How easy was TÜV? I am looking for a 17" wheel and have only seen the ProTrack One 9x17s on German cars so far.
Hey,

I didn’t try to get them approved yet, but I hope it shouldn’t be a problem, since they got an „Festigkeitsgutachten“. Worked for my 9,5x18 ProTracks so I’m optimistic :)

Looks really nice - how is the ride with this combo and are you happy with the tyre?
Thanks :)

I’d say that I can notice the higher sidewall in terms of damping, it’s a little more compliant. I daily my GRY so I’m pretty happy about that. Maybe it affects steering precision, but I can’t notice that.

Since there aren’t that much tires available in 255/40/17 I chose the (aging) Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2. I thought about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 but in the end I wanted to save some money and I don’t really need the additional performance of the latter.
The Hankook is definitely not as sporty as my previous summers (GY Eagle F1 Asy. 6 in 255/35/18) and understeers earlier but it’s a lot quieter and more then grippy enough for my needs. I’d say it’s a solid all-rounder for daily-driving and some fun on backroads.

Hi all,
Bola FLB 18x8.5 ET 35 for a nice OEM+ look.. weight approx. 8.5kgs each (about 0.5kgs more per corner with 235/40/18's) over stock BBS.

Don't know if it's the right thread, but I was looking for some “cheap” set of winter wheels and tyres and I bumped up on some MAK XLRs. Does anyone have it? What about the 7.5’’ with standard 225/40 tyres?
