GR Yaris Show us your aftermarket wheels.

How many of you look at the weight of an aftermarket wheel before purchasing, concerned about adding weight to the car over stock wheels?
It was important to me that the rims and the 255 tyres were lighter than the original ones, and after a long search, I finally found something that suited me.

Depends on your needs really. I went a little heavier and don't regret it. My decision was taken on the b-roads over here and the harsh winter. So went with a durable but slightly heavier proper Rally wheel that's significantly cheaper to replace than the eye watering cost of one of the OEM BBS forged ones. If I was using the car for Track work I would look for a lighter/similar weighted rim mind.
I got round that stress by making the factory BBS my winters, making them cheaper to replace than my new summer wheels 😂

I have these wheels with a 40 offfset. Have you noticed any differences to the steering feel with the 35 offset compared to stock?
Funny thing is I ordered them from bola +40 offset.. measured at home and was +35. Decided to keep them to avoid the faff and I found customer service poor from them.
Handling wise, I did notice slightly heavier steering and also slight vagueness on turn in at high speed, probably down to change in scrub radius and brand new tyres. I did go from CSC7 tyres on stock wheels to Goodyear Assy6 so maybe some of this was down to the tyre and this has appeared to reduce now the tyres have worn in.
In fairness the car looks great on a slightly more aggressive/wider fitment but for handling I would have to admit the stock setup and wheel combo is best for the road from my experience.

Notice any Tramlining?

No tramlining, just a bit more tyre noise on rough surfaces as to be expected. Tyre noise was always awful though..

Planning on keeping them on this year but putting some conti's back on and taking out some front camber to try and improve the ride quality a little. I find the GR can be really harsh and sometimes unpleasant on broke UK roads, or maybe i'm just getting old
