First track session for this season at Kymiring.
Was fun day. Improved lap time by 1.5s (now best 2:11.45), with same now two years old Cup2.
Car did not like too aggressive driving so clean seems to be fast with stock suspension GR Yaris.
Beat the manual mk2 by 2.5s (lap time) even it was on wider tyres, so in real life mk2 is not that much faster.
maybe its just a marketing gimmick.
Car is now quite adjustable in turn in with brakes.
Got still some steering lock but now actually did not find it that frustrating as was dialing car into corner with steering input and trail braking so it was actully quite fun car to drive.
To improve lap time would still need more camber, but will not go there as like to use car on the street aswell.
Rear tyres seem not to get warm at all, according tyre temp gauge they got to 24'C, where as front were at 45'C.
Pressures 2.4-2.6 hot in front, and 2.3-2.4 hot in rear.
rear diffuser got melted abit from hot exhaust, maybe its too loose now. need to ask service guys to check its mounting when it goes there in few weeks.
exhaust is not moving.
Regarding car's engine performance, it was mixed results - mostly working ok but occasionally pulling back boost especially on long back straight.
The trap speeds on back straights were similar to 2023 session (212kmh max), whereas on main straight I managed to get 8kmh higher end speed (172 vs 180kmh).
Oil temps stayed below 105'C as it was 10'C.
