If the pawl aligns with the teeth of the parking gear, no movement will happen. Does sound to me like when it doesn't, it's simply the box programming slipping the gear clutch a bit to move the output shaft so they can align, choosing the gear it was in. Can't know for sure without being intimate with the particular gearbox programming logic.I think yours is the most sensible theory... thanks... because honestly I can't find any logic... sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't... sometimes I have to wait a second longer so as not to hear it, sometimes less is enough... I have to check if it depends on the gearbox oil temp (since it will change the fluidity)... the important thing is that it isn't a symptom of something else
