GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I think yours is the most sensible theory... thanks... because honestly I can't find any logic... sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't... sometimes I have to wait a second longer so as not to hear it, sometimes less is enough... I have to check if it depends on the gearbox oil temp (since it will change the fluidity)... the important thing is that it isn't a symptom of something else
If the pawl aligns with the teeth of the parking gear, no movement will happen. Does sound to me like when it doesn't, it's simply the box programming slipping the gear clutch a bit to move the output shaft so they can align, choosing the gear it was in. Can't know for sure without being intimate with the particular gearbox programming logic.

Oh, so I'm not the only one who noticed this???

The new GR Yaris Aero Package is now on sale in Italy and without restriction on the numbers,I mean there is no lottery or things like that 😱. 62k€ with the forged BBS. This news is a hope to be able to buy the parts individually, maybe..
And by the way what do you think about this guys? For me it's really unfair. I bought my GR less than a year ago and know you see this better version for sale... Toyota should sale the parts without discusión...

Well... I don't know... but I think they'll sell it... has anyone recalled the dashboard? Here in Italy they know it's there but they still don't have guidelines on what to do.

What's the problem with the Dashboard?

I wouldn't worry. I would say Toyota are just looking to make as much as they can. Special edition models with bolt-on mods rarely hold their value above standard. Don't buy into the FOMO!

there is an official recall for possible problems
The issues described i have not encountered on any of our cars, or had clients with the issues described. But this week we delivered 2 brand new, one of the last current generation RAV4 models, and i think they came with this fix done already, as they could save the Tyre pressure display now from restart to restart it did not dissapear.

Don't feel bad about it. I don't even see it as 'a better version'. I like the sleeker look of the standard GRY, those add ons of the aero package are not everyones cup of tea, certainly not mine. Oops, I said it out loud, didn't I... 😇

Nothing to get annoyed about. Cars are constantly being perfected and changed.

😄👍As we say around here "for tastes, colors". And it's true that the look of the GR is already pretty damn good.
Regarding the Aero Package, what I'm really interested in are the parts that aren't visible — the front lip, the covers that go over the fuel tank that make the underbody completely flat and enclosed.
Not a Big fan of the lateral and rear bumper ducts not even the hood...But let's be honest that wing is brutal😅🤣😎

I'm gonna call that, just admit you want it!

I sure know I dig it big time, gives the car the full rally vibe it needed, and the added cooling and aero efficiency is imho always a big plus and it looks great to me too!

That said, by the time you can get one you've hopefully already enjoyed your car for at least a year and upwards 5-6 years (mk1), time that you can never buy back, and the added price also means you could easily justify spending on aftermarket parts to get a similar look. So don't feel sorry for yourselves!

My car is due for service tomorrow, when calling for the appointment they told me they had received a notification regarding the recall, but apparently the fix wasn't available yet? They still allocated more time for the service in case it would be ready in the meantime, but I hope it is because the tire pressure thing is very annoying, we get a lot of outside temp variations here, sometimes 10°C from one week to another and I have to adjust according to that as it can have a .3 to .5 bar impact on warm tires temperature.

The tyre pressure indicator is just a bonus, the main issue with the dash why it is getting reprogrammed is completely different. And they are correct, it is as to say, announced, but not yet ready to implement.
