My GRY has done about 30k miles, and the discs are getting close to needing to be replaced. For purely road use, are there alternatives to the Toyota ones - possibly less expensive but as good (if not better). Again, just for road use. Any advice?

Not got rattles from mine, and that's after 30k miles. If something's rattling on mine, it's something I've put there, or it's my aging bones. Three years on, the car still gets comments and thumbs up from others. Getting stopped to talk about the car is such a headache (I'm joking of course!).

Drove to a festival, using the GRY as a little van. Managed 38mpg. Lovely leisurely drive, and happy parking it up in a field and not worrying is I can get it out if it gets wet and muddy!

Yes, but you live with the fitness model and get to enjoy your time together every day... Occasionally, it's fun to drink cheap cider together on a park bench.
