Have you heard any more from the ombudsman?Spooky as I have also received this ' £250 offer' today too and of course I have also rejected it. Bring it on![]()
I've used the 'Copy Text' tool available within the Screenshot facility on my phone:If you save it as a .jpg image and use the 'Insert Image' button above (Ctrl+P) then it should appear within your post, as long as it's not super huge of course..
Screenshot of my post inserted below by way of example (using MS Windows Snipping Tool):

Not presently. Can you disable Ghost via the OBD?
I am currently in a queue waiting for an ombudsman to be assigned.Another £250 offer rejected today, anyone had anything back from ajudication yet?
PM'dAfter 9months, the Ombundsman said I filed the claim in the incorrect category and I have to start afresh....
Can anyone do me a favour and give me a screenshot or PDF of the purchase details showing the car was meant to have a Car Alarm. Too many pages here to trawl through. Thanks in advance!
If a return is your favoured option I think 15p per mile isn't a bad 'hit' to take in the current market place, especially given some of the pre-owned prices and offers being tendered by WBAC etc - It would make it the cheapest long term 'Hire Car' a person could get I reckon!Provide 3 quotes for fitting of an alarm/immobiliser and Toyota pick one to cover the bill
or
Return the car minus 15p per mile.
Whilst I’m still eagerly awaiting a response from them can I clarify whether I understood that you were actually offered the option to return the car or was that your proposal to them?I'm at around 4500miles, but a fair bit more invested into the car with wheels, grow springs, camber plates, exhaust, and other accent pieces. I always knew the mods don't help themselves on a return but any value I gain in returning the car is lost if I did want to continue owning a GR86, which I still do!
They are allowed to inspect the car and deduct any damage, I do wonder what would happen if I showed up to this inspection with non-stock wheels for example.

I did not mention returning the vehicle at all, the ombudsman provided me with these as options as they believe i still have the right of refusal usually used at the point of handover.Whilst I’m still eagerly awaiting a response from them can I clarify whether I understood that you were actually offered the option to return the car or was that your proposal to them?
