I probably have the download file as well. I cannot check today as its on a laptop which I don't have at the moment (I am away from home). I will check in a day or two and let you know.

I have this Pioneer sub installed in the passenger footwell. Its never going to produce alot of sound, but it rounds out the sound nicely. I was attracted to it because it can be wired to the fuse box rather the battery (done that on a previous car) and it doesn't pull too much power. When I fitted it, I was having flat'ish battery troubles, now seems to be fixed though. See this post for a installed picture. I have straighted it up now as well.

Ok I have got the file, but am struggling to share it on this site - just keeps telling me that "the uploaded file does not have an allowed extension".

Try this GR86 (the file to be uploaded to the DSC is the mdat file.....I think....). Let me know as soon as you have it.

I made the mistake of trying to manually update the settings going off the various screen shots - I subsequently found out that the mdat file does it all for you though. Just upload that file to your DSP and Roberts your fathers brother 😁
 
Yeah, you are right, car on the move is noisy. Focals still gets you a cleaner sound on the move and much better sound quality while stationary 😀.
Negative points are added weight and lighter wallet.

just had a look at the screen shots and it is a very modified EQ curve! I'm looking forward to trying it out tmrw.

Did I read somewhere that there's a specific cable harness to get with it? And where's the best place to get it from do you know?

I'm intrigued now and with the longer days coming I might be able to have a spare moment to get it fitted.

There is indeed a dedicated wiring harness. I ordered mine from here, but emailed the seller both before and also after I placed my order, to confirm what car I had and requested the appropriate plug and play wiring harness. The seller included the harness in with my order:

With regard to fitting the DSP, I found this video to be really helpful in explaining what various bits needed removing (it is a different bit of kit being fitted in the video though). Just to note, the Puzu does fit in the gap, but it is a tight fit and a bit fiddly getting it in there (you may also want to purchase some sticky pads to ensure it doesn’t move about when fitted).

Tried out the Puzu file Diggler kindly uploaded and I found it 'open' in sound. My settings are make the sound a lot more 'personal' and work best with vocal stuff.

newbie question, if I use my android work phone to download the app can I connect it via Bluetooth and load that file?

At the moment I’ve just plugged it in and not touched anything lol

Anyone know if there’s much point bothering with the puzu app and trying to configure? Speakers definitely sounds better with the puzu!

The base file will improve the sound, its like the LOUDNESS button on old hifi (if you old enough to remember :ROFLMAO: ) but you're missing out on so much more! Beg/borrow/steal a windows laptop and try it!
 
Just a little input from the Yaris point of view, not sure if the OEM speakers are the same on both cars (tiny magnets!), but I saw a huge difference just upgrading the speakers to the Focals, with a bit of Dynamat around them at the same time. I’ve since added the Alpine all in one 4 channel amp and under seat sub, but I’d say the biggest leap in improvement for everyday use was going from OEM speakers to the Focal kit, rather than the amp. I was hugely impressed by the speaker swap difference and how the OEM head unit on the Yaris powered them. Just had to tweak the head unit eq to reduce the highs that were more prominent on the Focals.

Your install is slightly different, the gr86 owners are going focals then PUZU DSP (not just an amp)

In my experience, if I could only change one item, it would be to add the Puzu Dsp. Previously I done this is my Mini F56 JCW and currently my Seat Tarraco with impressive results.

I’ve decided that these speakers are an unnecessary upgrade as I’ll probably be changing the car in September / October

If anybody wants a set I’m in Hawarden near Chester.. I could also drop off in the Manchester area as I’m over there frequently.. looking for what I paid ideally i.e. £120

The price is for the brand new speaker kit plus the soundproofing pack for immediately behind the door speakers
