GR Yaris Hello there

Visited a local track yesterday. Lots of cool cars and people, really enjoyable evening.
Track started dry but after 1 hr we got decent rainfall so it was more or wet until very last minutes.

Car performed well and improved PB by 0.5s even using 3 year old Cup2's. Goal was to get into 2:05 but unfortunately got empty fuel tank before got the second try so something for next time. On wet it was fun to practice handling and chase Porsches. GT3's are not that fast anymore when there is damp track.

Car feels quite good now in fast turns - front end feels better and felt there was time left on the track to improve time.
Car lifts its tyres and looses its drive in couple of places (slow right handers) but its minor issue so just need to manage it.

Were you able to test the Alcons on the dry?

cup2's worked ok - fronts heated to 60'C on hot stints, rears stayed in 30'C. For faster times rears should be pushed more into working window. car did not that have that bad terminal understeer in slow corners as previously. it still understeers but it wasn't that bad.

Even after +5 fast laps, Oil temps maxxed to 105'C and waters stayed btw 80-90'C so no temp issues at all. it was cool day after all.
Pushed +5laps on damp track and car worked flawleslly. IMHO the cooling pack in this car should have been like this from the factory but I'm not a meteorologist.

I just love those BBQ gloves.
You have the Torsens?
Mine's hopeless in 2nd gears corners when getting on the throttle hard, spins both front and rear inside tyres badly.

fun to work with cars after a while. alhtough brake drum swap with Audi A2 was a nightmare at times, seems like got it sorted finally.
Also swapped a driveshaft to friends 944 Turbo S.
GR has a new Turbosmart BOV waiting for install, maybe next week if everything goes well.

Good luck. :) Ive surrendered. Wanted to install the Turbosmart Plumb Back Variant while installing the Forge inlet but gave up in the end. Not because its hard to reach but because the bolts were rusted and ive would destroyed the thread if i kept pushing. :D

Oh good to know. Was it turbo elbow or bov that was stuck? Seized threads are as worse as it gets..
