GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Cold weather wheels/tyres are on. Stock wheel and tyre weight was showing at 19kg. These are 16.75kg.

I called Subaru with the part number to cover the door ones. They just laughed and said one was in stock, in the UK. Don't know when more will arrive. Forgot all about it. Did fit the covers I forgotten about over the door strike plates today though 😁👍

I ordered the four bolt covers for inside the door from my local Subaru dealer and they only saw one in stock.. they arrived on the day that the car was ready (waited about 10 days)

They were only £1.20 in total IIRC with the VAT

'Cos I didn't pay much attention before I got the car - how much is the 12 months VED ?
 
Also got my brown envelope yesterday, after having to pay the 'luxury car' surcharge on my last 2 cars (GR Supra and Jaguar F-Type), it wasn't exactly a pleasant surpise to get a bill for £180, but it could be much worse!
 
Fitted LED bulbs : Reversing lights, boot light, puddle lights and interior courtesy lights. 20 mins job and impressive results.

Fitted cargo net in the boot. Only a few £ from Aliexpress.

Fitted suede material to the bottom of the doors on the inside. Matches the alcantara on the top of the doors and stops those annoying scuffs on the plastic when getting out of the car. Again from Aliexpress and the exact shape as made for the GR86... less than £20 from memory.

On moving the car, I noticed a small damp patch on the drive (size of my hand). Checking underneath the engine bay I spotted a few drops of (hopefully) water tricking from a small hole (it's meant to be there) in the plastic tray underneath the radiator on the rhs when looking at the car from the front... wiped it and it stopped. I think it was only water as no smell, colour or texture. When I reached behind the plastic cover, there is a layer of foam sitting underneath the radiator that was wet. Has anyone else noticed this? I did about 100 miles yesterday with plenty of heavy rain so wonder whether it's simply the rain going through the front grill and collecting in this foam? With the bonnet up, I checked all the fluid levels and all at the 'max' other than the washer fluid bottle but I'm certain it wasn't washer fluid as I've refilled it and no leaks have happened. Thanks for reading my rambling.

It could be the condensation from the AC, if you have it switched on, in which case it's normal.

Thought it was worth a punt to use the space on the sides, initial mounting this evening. It’s not tight at the top though does make it easier to put things in, plus pushes into the lining when you have luggage in the boot.
