Not sure about thatIt's almost as if this forum was created just for you Greg. GR Yaris, GR Supra & GR86 owner.![]()
Not sure about that
I don't have an 86 yet, will have to wait longer than I did for my GRY
I intend to get a GR Hilux, if & when they are made in a year or three![]()
Funny you should say that, recently when signing off emails my left finger stays on the shift key for too long or my right finger is just too fast & I get, Cheers GRegMore committed than most and your name is GReg!![]()
Thats cool. I do a lot of track work and competition and did a load of it in my old GT86. A little roll, actually helps you move the weight around, so is absolutely key in manipulating the chassis under trail braking or in high speed corners. The reality of bigger ARB's is that they can tend to reduce traction by increasing lateral spring rates, which doesn't improve the handling. Don't get me wrong, it can do if done right, but I've not felt the need to change an ARB. I ran a bespoke coilover setup on my old GT86, which worked very well with stock ARB's.Since my first GT86 I have put ARBs on my cars, sometimes with lowering springs sometimes not, I don't track my cars
I still vividly remember driving my GRY for the first time on a local twisty sealed hill & thinking how terrible the body roll was
I just don't like that feeling, the bars are cheap & easy to install, esp compared to the rear one in a Supra or front one in a GRY![]()
On my GT86 I increased the spring rate to 5kg front 6kg rear. Yes on the GRY the spring rate is higher on the front for circuit packs. ARB differs too and damper bump and rebound is different on circuit packs.Yep everyone likes different things for sure
Interestingly the front ARB is thicker on the Circuit pack compared to the Convenience , IIRC the spring rate is a little different as well ?
When you went to coil overs did you increase/decrease the spring rate ?
