GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

There seems to be a distinct lack of Sapphire Blue in this thread lately so I’m going to change it with a bit of a photo dump.

Firstly here’s one from a few weeks ago when we had a little bit of snow.

Next, an unfortunate attack on my car by a local bird gang (or pterodactyl?). I’m assuming this was a hate crime.

After that, I learnt my lesson so the NCP it is! (Please note, I’m not lopsided, the car park is sloped… or at least that’s my excuse.)

And finally, while we had some good weather, I took it for a nice drive over the moor.

I think you'll find @Silver Fox is a retiring individual who doesn't like to talk about his acclaimed literary successes. He's clearly as proficient with the camera as he is with the pen

Looks awesome. Is the Sapphire blue a lot different to the GT86 dark blue metallic? I have ordered grey for the change vs my current blue gt86 but am having second thoughts...and time is running out to change my choice lol

I think it's a little lighter than the original blue on the GT86, and maybe a little more purple?
In all honesty tough, I don't think I really got up close to that many blue GT86s so I can't really give the best comparison. What I can say though, is that sapphire is a very complex colour and looks different in every lighting situation; from being a little dull in darker lighting to a very vibrant, deep blue/purple in direct sunlight. The metallic flake is very prominent too, which makes me feel a little better for paying the almost £1,000 for it (sorry to say but I'd be disappointed in spending the same money on EB...)

You photos make me think I should have gone with sapphire instead of electric blue, sounds like I'd be able to see more variation in colour, can't see any pearlescent effect in my "pearlescent" electric blue

Added to my list of unnecessary accessories.

Firstly a “GR” card sleeve off Ali Express. This is for my car park pass at work, fake suede material’s good and spot on colour match, size is a bit big, solid 9/10.

Secondly, an official Gazoo Racing USB stick from a TS050 Hybrid media pack.

Absolutely no idea what I will do with it. Maybe scan in any paperwork (which I have a tendency to lose) and store with spare key? Seems properly unnecessary, but there was only one in stock and it was around £25

Two tyres replaced and wheels fitted back on the car. Just need to wash it tomorrow in prep for Japfest, although it was only washed last weekend so isn't really that dirty.

I'll also mention, both new PS4 are approx 12 months old, based on the date information on them. So I suspect stock is extremely limited due to the fact they have been superseded by the PS5.
