Totally Hooked
To be fair you do live in another universe! This is what I do and I live in house.
CBA to do it myself and don't want to subject it to brutal hand car wash nearby.

So I've cleaned my car for the last time. My buyer is due to pick up the car on Saturday. I'm going to write a review of the GR86. I think it's a good car, not a great, but a good car. What my thoughts are and ultimately why I've decided to part ways.
I'll write that up tomorrow,
Blimey. Get you with your limited edition car AND limited edition lunch!Still, no damage done and I had a nice 'limited edition' steak burger thingy![]()
Your colleague is a myopic fool.View attachment 15256Got hit by my colleague this morning just less than a minute after I parked the car. I was at the back taking stuff out of the boot when it happened. Luckily I parked far away from the fence and I wasn’t trapped. The tow hook cover is cracked and there are scratches on the bumper. The bumper is a bit out of shape with some hooks on the right undone.
He said he didn’t see my car and I just can’t believe it happened

He reversed into me at a higher than usual speed. There was a scratch high in the bumper where I had not expected. I hope there aren’t any structural or mechanical damages underneathOooof. Luckily that doesn't look like bad damage. I would give it a good clean and polish first, and you might find some of it is just paint transfer.
Although I suppose a new tow hook cover will need a bit of paint anyway.
Look on the bright side. The boot is a decent size, so you should have no trouble disposing of your "colleague" in the woods somewhere.
If you're going through insurance, then surely it doesn't matter what Aviva say...wouldn't you be claiming against his insurance? Or has he not admitted liability?Everyone at the company was deflated by the announcement of pending redundancies yesterday I guess. So this incident has just made my day even betterI want to get it done properly by the Toyota dealer, but I have a feeling Aviva (my company) isn’t going to allow that. I was hoping to do some driving over Easter to clear my mind up. I can’t do that now

Oh those brakes are wonderful! And also how it should have come from factory but I'll leave that for another day.Whose is this? I'd love those brakes but are a bit much for me at the moment. View attachment 15258
The earliest repair date Aviva can find for me is 21 April. I’m not sure about driving around for weeks with the damages like thatI know exactly how you feel, it's hard not to be dejected even when it's not serious damage, but don't let it stop you driving and enjoying the car if you can.

If he was clearly at fault, then maybe it would have been best to lodge a claim with his insurance and just inform your own about the incident. Not sure if that's best practice or not. Ultimately you just want your car repaired to the best possible standard, and given it's so new, I think it's perfectly justified to insist that it's repaired at Toyota. The earliest repair date Aviva can find for me is 21 April. I’m annoyed as I was planning to take my car to the dealership to get the bonnet latch paint issue fixed under warranty
I thought since it’s a no fault claim, I can claim it through my insurance who would chase after his insurance. Should I have done it differently?

You can get a quote from Toyota and email it to your insurance provider. Many moons ago I did this with Admiral who I'm still with now. They didn't like it at first but went ahead with it as I wanted the dealer to do it.He admitted to being at fault on site.
I‘m not sure if this incident and the subsequent repair would affect my warranty in anyway. Hence I wanted it done by the dealer. But I have already started the claim process with Aviva and I am not sure if it’s too late now to do it that way. Thank you for your help though
