GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

The roads have been proper filthy and the car was too, so got working early and we now have.

(Pity I'm on a run out tomorrow, so no doubt it'll be dirty again by the end)

Washed and then aero stabilising cover fitted . Expensive for what it is but anyway .. also if you have OCD you might be a while getting it right. It may or may not have taken me over an hour to finally peel the adhesive tape. Looks good but not really noticeable as it blends in with the window. Also when watching the YT video from ftspeed I’m not sure how he lined it up with the edge without leaving a gap so mine is slightly over. Still a very slight gap when boot is closed but anymore overhang and the bottom adhesive wouldn’t make full contact.

Is that okay to use on fake leather? I mean does it do what it's intended for?
 
Installed the cusco brake cylinder stopper.
Decided not to install the greddy bonnet shocks, so might put them up for sale
 
Nudged over 1000 miles... I cannot get over how epic this car is!

Having the full rev range to play with transforms it, so much more control and confidence - I'm slightly staggered at just how good it is! And just how much better than the GT it is. Really is a 'wow' feeling!

No photographic proof I'm afraid as the 19 month old chucked it and it now isn't working (hence I was out for a drive!).

Any noticable improvement? I was pondering the strut brace with the integrated master cylinder stopper along with some pads/fluid/hoses before its first track day.

I've had the same issue with the installation video. Ended up following the supplied Japanese instructions with the use of live Google Translate and it looks like by design the bottom edge of the aero cover should line up with the edge of the windscreen, so it does end up leaving a "gap" where the dip of the aero cover is.

Difficult to gauge what's right in this instance, I think a similar issue exists with the duckbill spoiler.
 
yeh - it's obviously just own personal preference when fitting. I'm happy with mine . Slightest of gaps that isn't noticeable but with both top and bottom adhesive making good contact.
 
Took my GR86 for an oil change at Toyota today and purchased 1L top up oil for £160 (all in) bit expensive but keeps the warranty intact and zero questions.

Listers Lincoln were excellent, emptied the oil right in front of me, further I explained about the RTV sealant issue and the technician was excellent. He knew all about it, and was their lead technician who did all the valve recall timings for the GT86... Anyway, I said "some places I've read are using endoscopes to look in and see if any sealant or debris in the oil" He offered to do it right infront of me. He used the scope and found the sealant and it was all golden on my sump.... no break aways, complete clean lines. Whats better is... I was there for this. He showed me on the endoscope videoscreen everything. Truly excellent.

Further, they disabled my sound generator in the car, and the car sounds WAY better without it. That's before I've even fitted my new exhaust!
