GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

This was what was shown when booking the 2 year service, very clearly stating “Replace rear differential oil.”.

I also have an email from Toyota GB that states:
“As we are the manufacturer and distributor of new vehicles here at TGB we do not manage any of our centres as they are all franchises and have their own in-house complaints process when it comes to being unhappy with the service they have provided.

However, you are correct, the rear differential oil is listed on our website as needing replacing at 2yrs/20k service. Therefore, I have passed the details of your complaint directly to service manager at <dealership>.

I would like to apologise for your experience, and I hope that they can work with you to provide a solution.”

Contact for TGB is [email protected]

Hope this helps.
Any idea what “reset OMMS” means? (Near bottom on list).

Service done, car intact, still no comment from the dealership on a manufacturing defect on the seat reported when the car was a week old but apart from that all good.

Goose the cat performed important quality control checks.

Despite being stuck in traffic I enjoyed the drive yesterday. I should drive it more, I get a little hung up on the little issues like poor paint, interior built quality etc, and forget… it’s a bloody good drive, and looks fantastic, - sounds good now too!

You can tell when your service it done as the dealership hums when they start it up!

After couple days of dashboard warnings to replace my key fob battery, finally I have replaced it. I got Maxell CR2032 H (H stands for high capacity) and is made in Japan. To my surprise original battery is exactly the same as one I got.

What was wrong with just calling it a dip stick… not PC in the 20’s perhaps?
It's probably got something to do with it not being the dip stick, but those irritating oil service reminders that have the same chime as a catastrophic failure warning in most cars. Don't worry, they still call a dip stick a dip stick though.

Went over to Edinburgh early-doors, uncovered and drove the GR86 about 50 feet forwards and backwards after moving a Porsche Carrera and Ferrari 488 Pista out of the way, so that my cheap (but clean) Jap 4-pot could be parked at the back of the storage facility ... [tugs at forelock whilst muttering "Thankee Soir, much obliged Soir, I'll be getting back to the lower field now Soir ..."

Those guys must think a lot of their cars to put them in the same facility as your GR86.

I have owned many Subaru imported cars over the last 35-years and they all had engine bay strut covers fitted
So I decided the GR86 needed some today, 5 hours of printing and - DaDa.

Printed a red and black one just so I could decide which colour I preferred :ROFLMAO: Heading towards black

Another great 3d print design!
Yeah black definitely looks better... :)

Out of interest did you print in abs or pla?

Bought and collected a set of second hand winter wheels. The law has changed this year in Denmark to the German model of you must have winter tyres in winter conditions vs previous voluntary switch. This has meant more demand so pickings have been scarce on our equivalent to eBay. However these wheels came up, they are 17" Fondmetal but more importantly came with nearly new Continental 225/45 winter tyres for circa 350 GBP. I would not have chosen either the wheels or the tyres, but at the price could not argue. I will try not to run the car over winter but don't want to get caught out if I really need to. When I look at them I think hot wheels .... not sure why!

2nd year service carried out today at Bedford.
They said that the diff oil isn’t on the service items until 4th year which seems to be a bit of a grey area.
They did it for me anyway. I supplied my own engine oil so they just didn’t add the diff oil to keep things easy. All documented that it was done though.
Having friends and family discount helped too.
Going away for the winter now.

My diff oil wasn't done on 2nd service either, so I asked Customer Relations at Toyota GB. A few days later, I had the dealer on email asking me to arrange a date for it to be done. It's certainly confusing (change brake fluid too??), so I asked TGB for a definitive servicing schedule for 2nd service. Nothing received yet.
