GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Good move, I went for the Cobra non res one. Made a welcome improvement to the sound track👍
Not too loud, but it now sounds more like a sporty car👍
Me too. Sounds awesome blasting away past the caravans etc,. on the dual carriageway bits of the A1 Southbound ... but only to 70mph of course ;)

Still annoyed about the servicing and how they won't let me us my oil again. Or genuine filter that they had to last time since they yet again couldn't get stock. Funny that. It's left quite an annoying feeling I can't shake. It's not the money but the principle. They said it was fine before but not now. Gone through all the emotions of going to another dealer (Macclesfield is 4hrs away) but I'll probably bite the bullet and doing oil only as per service then going to an Indy like Fensport going forward. At least they'll fit other things too. Once the car is mine, warranty will be in the bin anyway.

Did even think to sell and move on, try something else. Some tried saying it's like asking a restaurant to cook food you bring but that's a false comparison. A restaurant says what they sell. If you don't like it you don't buy it. If they'd said the first time it's their oil only then I'd have accepted it but to say yes, then no irks me. Dealers have always been hard work. Think the day I'm shot of them the better. Puts me off ever owning a new car again.

Only done 1800 miles since the last service too. Although I have lots planned this Summer for drives.
I had this experience a few months ago with the Vertu/Macklin dealerships on the West Coast of Scotland. Initially gave me a quote for an oil change then changed their mind a week later saying using anything not provided directly by the dealership would void my warranty. Had the cheek to ask for pics of my car in front of the dealership too. Won't ever be back to a Vertu dealer and am happy driving a bit longer to have it serviced by an independent Toyota dealer up in Helensburgh. Might be worth seeing if there are any non dealer network Toyota dealerships near you.

Went to Caffeine and Machine the hill today for a short time. Long drive, I really wish the roads that take me there would be more interesting.
Spotted a dark blue gr86 in Caversham, pretty sure it is not in the forum though

Went to Caffeine&Machine the Bowl last night and met another owner with a lovely stickered up silver car. Somehow amongst the chatter, I forgot to get a pic so here's one of earlier in the day with another fav of mine, FD2 Type R

Passing through Glencoe, had a detour down Glen Etive for a photo.
Lovely photos, but the point I wish to make is that your username very much matches your forum contributions and posting profile.

Perhaps we could all change our names accordingly - for example you'd have "bootstraphero", "JudasAlpine", "buysbluetat" etc.

I could be "suithookguy" or "postsshyte"
