GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Chipex instructions do seem to suggest you can use a finger to apply their paint into scuffs. I won't need to go quite as mad as he has, but I'll give it a try later.

That’s me done 🥵
It's great when the missus is away all day; Starbucks, Tesco Cinnamon Tear&Share and a full 5 hours of detailing the GR86. Now it’s Wine-O-Clock 🍷😎

Not today but a few days ago my car was treated to a good wash (and annual gtechniq inspection)..
Nice. Love their products. That said, the non-Gtechniq products in those Gtechniq spray bottles on the wall rack are a little triggering to me ... 😆

Sitting on the driveway waiting for the DPD man to turn up with my Infinity intake...

Running out of light so hope he arrives soon.

They never arrive early when it's something important. Haha
What always gets me is that when you watch them on the app and it stays "John is currently on delivery 92. You are deliver 98" and it stays like that for ages. But when he gets to me, it's a 30 second transaction to throw my parcel at me and go. Like, what the hell took so long at number 92?

Throwing the parcels around in a hissy fit becuase he still had another 200 to deliver.

Speaking of detailing, the biblical downpour of rain yesterday on the M23 cleaned the car up nicely ( :ROFLMAO: ) and back on the road for a round trip to Scotland.

Saw a lovely GT and an even lovelier Supra on the A1(M) today and a few thumbs up from backseat kids too, as I tried to hypermile it to Durham... 43mpg, very nice, if thoroughly unexciting.

A good wash before the light rain came.. Viewing tomorrow

I’m currently non plussed about it selling.. I’d be quite happy to keep it as a second car and let the mileage (8,300) balance out now it’s not a daily driver..

SWMBO is resigned to it staying if it doesn’t sell so I’m under no real pressure to let it go for nothing.. My incompetence in sorting out a bonnet stone chip is something I’ve already discussed with the potential buyer so if we can get one that hurdle without a massive dent in my expectations then she may go…

Time will tell 🫤😬

Edit: Time did tell.. Sold to Mike from Norfolk… Collecting next Saturday.. A slight hit on my financial expectations with the bonnet chip that I bodged up but it is what it is.. That’s what happens when you buy a car and sell after ~12 months I guess ..

I loved the GR so I may be back at some point .. Thanks for all the advice and the camerardarie .. This is a fantastic forum 👍🏻🍻👏

Off to find an Up GTI (or similar) to get back and to with my golf bats

As everything was clean, I took the opportunity and swapped out the hyper-black Summer wheels for the newly painted and ceramic coated piano-black Winter wheels. I’ll properly ceramic coat the Summer ones over the next few weeks before they go into hibernation.

New exhaust fitted.
Fujitsubo AR system.
Very good quality and car seems to pull harder at higher revs and feels more smooth throughout the Rev range.
Nice flat 4 rumble at idle too and abit louder than what I was expecting from a Fujitsubo system as they usually not this loud on my previous cars like DC5/350z/FK8

The first 30 seconds of idle are a bit silly aren't they? I have to sit in the garage till it's calmed down.
