GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

"Relaxing". I hate wheel cleaning.

As an aside...how are the Goodyear F1AS6 performing compared to the stock Michelins? I used the F1ASx range on my GT, and may do the same when my PS4s needs replacing.

I think it's a bit more relaxing because the wheels are already removed and I can also flip/rotate them as much as I like on the wheel stand when applying chemicals.

I found them to be properly grippy, even in the wet. I tend to refer to the 'Tyre Reviews' Youtube channel to see what's happening in the market and he found them to be a solid all-round performance tyre.

Still leaning towards the Goodyears for my new wheels when they arrive. Although the way the weather is going, they won't be on the car until Spring. At least it gives me time to get them sealed and sensors programmed.

Applied Polytrol to the side vent plastics. Seemed okay for a first attempt.
Visited the Infinity Wax factory up in Glenrothes, where amongst other things, I collected a bottle of their Tyre Candy, which is super thick and really smells like strawberry milkshake đŸ˜‹

How did you apply it? Foam applicator pad and taped off the bodywork?

Using a thin flat artist's paint brush; the sort that you might find in a set similar to these on Amazon. Didn't bother with taping off, I just stuck out my tongue whilst I was doing it, which makes painting super accurate ... :p

I just use a finger in the microfibre and rub it in. Soaks in well

I thought I'd test my local dealer who supplied the car. Ordered an oil filter. Parts guy said it would there Tuesday. Teesside dealer have one on the shelf. So not sure how Toyota can't tell them when they'll be in stock. I'll keep it on the shelf when (if) it arrives and can use it at next service in February
Well it arrived a couple of days later than expected (slightly cheaper than Fensport) and after someone mentioned their dealer refusing to use a Subaru branded filter during a service . . .

I'd suggest keeping the box if you're supplying your own filter.

Wait what.... Where was this?

Subaru is written across the engine cover FFS.

Think there might be a level of Toyota induced dyslexia coupled with way too much stupid.

It's quite depressing dealing with someone sticking to a party line without engaging their brain, quite worrying if they ever encounter an out of the ordinary problem.

Personally I hate the feeling of the stock Michelins. The Potenza Race make the car come alive, stock tires feel soft and sluggish in corners comparatively.

They aren't bad tyres, but I don't find them all that confidence inspiring.

I have no issue with the PS5's but I've known Michelin for years so to me they are predictable. Next tyre will be another brand though, still thinking Goodyear for the new wheels.
