Loving the grey posts!

Fit kerbed wheel with sharpie or buy the oz ultraleggera's I keep looking at. The man maths works, right?

The thing is, if you β€˜fix’ it you’ll always know it’s there. The anger will grow inside you; you’ll stay up past 9pm; drink neat spirits; eat more fast food; start picking fights with strangers and taking the disabled seat up on buses. So yeah, the sharpie could be the catalyst for a downward spiral - spend a grand on some new wheels and get the old ones reconditioned. It’s pure common sense. πŸ˜†

This man maths. πŸ‘

Quite sensible on balance. When I scuffed one of my wheels I nearly bought a Cayman R.
I think I can top this....

I broke a drive shaft on my focus st (mk2) on a track day at cadwell park and in a hissy fit when I got home, cleaned it, and listed it for sale (it was fixed before it sold), three weeks later I bought an evo 9. πŸ˜‚

Welcome to the club It's Sharpie time.
Same. Although mine was the edge of a pothole. Avoiding one I couldn't avoid the other. Swore all the way home. Was passenger side rear. It's actually holding me back buying new wheels. When I finally decide to I'd like to refurb it but getting the right shade maybe tricky.

Do like I did and go for something different. I went for Piano Black as it's deeper and blacker than Gloss Black. Why not go for Black 4.0, which is the blackest Black available and absorbs 99.96% of visible light (akin to 'VantaBlack'). The advertising blurb has an amusing tagline that decrees "Absorbs all the light in the universe as well as other universes". Go 'ahn, make those wheels invisible

Rain coming and going, so a day of covering things cosmetically. Installed yet another shift knob, Billetworkz Ti Short Teardrop, and Leatherette Seatcovers.

Ordered some ARP wheel studs since my new nuts are open ended and figured it was a worthwhile upgrade given I'm taking the wheels off anyway.

Drove just under 600 miles in 9 hrs through Holland, Germany and into Switzerland. Averaged 35 mpg between Edinburgh - Newcastle and Holland. Unsurprisingly the figure dropped to 30mpg in Germany! πŸ˜€ Car was great though, 9 hrs and only started to feel tired in the last hour.

I've just come back from a bit of a Euro trip, but unfortunately I wasn't in the 86. Did just under 3k miles in two weeks and got down as far as Venice.

was a bit heavier too . . .

Road trip to France next month, but in MrsTheWifes car that time, as we need to carry a Highland Games competitor . . . (at least it's a Stelvio Veloce). Nurburgring trip may have to wait until next year now . . .

Fantastic, hope you had a great trip?! My in laws are in the camper next to us in this shot.
To his credit and similar to you he also has a GR86 and just chose the wrong vehicle for his euro road trip! πŸ˜‚

Been doing bits over the last few weeks when time allows (which isn't much). Car is still in the air so no idea yet on how the changes feel. Don't even know if I can make it to the Mr2 event tbh, I still have to do the other brake, bleed the system (all tasks I have never done), get an alignment.

ARP 3" wheel studs all around
Cusco RUCAs
Whiteline 14mm camber bolts
Reyland BBK

Started fitment of my Pioneer speakers from a previous car. Not in any way a plug-and-play so started off with a CAD template to then build a plastic mount for the speakers. Will make a full thread in the audio area once its done. Will likely buy the PUZU in the upcoming AliExpress sale, and will take the opportunity to chuck a few sound mats in the door hole whilst there... Exciting audio times ahead
