GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

I went for black. Here's a comparison. The difference isn't as noticeable when they're not side-by-side.

I've wrapped the centre console section, and the little trim piece that sits below the AC controls. I'm tempted to redo it all in the future with proper alcantara fabric, but this will do for now.

Wrapping the centre console involved a masking tape template, and then after a few failed attempts the removal of the whole trim piece to make things easier.
So my charcoal one arrived, It's probably not as close match as the black, however I must say that it's not as light as the photo suggests, so I'll be keeping it. When it arrived and looking on it's own, it looked the same black colour as @Cubone 's!

I'd recommend people go for the black though if you want a close-ish match from this seller.

Needs a clean after last weekend but is in the garage. Will clean it if I have time. Still looking at car parts. May order from Japanparts instead this time.

10k service booked in at Abbey Toyota Redhill Servicing for a few weeks time. Found Toyota Online's booking a bit finicky but Abbey were quick to confirm via call which gives confidence. Sorting out a Scotland driving / hiking holiday in September too, which I'm excited for.

I have also booked Abbey Toyota Redhill for first service in about 10 days. And I have booked Abbey Motorsport for tracking check and adjustment a few days afterwards.

Tempted to get these. I'll hold off on the SARD dampers for now. Found fitting instruction and airbox has to come out. If I'm doing that I may as well buy an airbox at the time (man maths) but also then need to confirm it fits OK with whatever box I choose. The rear ones also mean less boot opening and to fit I'd have to undo the bolts holding the tailgate on, which knowing my luck I'd misalign and mess up.

The illusive GR aero stabilising cover as I've never hit the button on getting one. Still a lot for a bit of plastic but at least it's a genuine part. Can't think of anything else I need really?

I'd probably add the door stabilisers too, they will compliment what you're going for.

Drove from Edinburgh to Newcastle and boarded the ferry to Amsterdam! Got a โ€˜nice car mateโ€™ from the DFDS check in guy and put into the queue for a โ€˜randomโ€™ check. They wanted to see the engine bay, I did ask if it was out of curiosity or for work purposes, I was assured it was work ๐Ÿ˜‰! Anyway got out to the front of a line and boarded first from three line, had to ask them to check/watch the bumper on the ramp and had to drive on at an angle but all good! ๐ŸŽ‰ Time for a few ๐Ÿบ before some ๐Ÿฅ˜ and then some ๐Ÿ’ค. Drive through ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ and ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช tomorrow and onto ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญfor a few nights. ๐Ÿ˜€

@KobayashiMaru86 I love your Man Mathematics, I concur with it so it must be true. Therefore let me know how you go with the Rear strut brace with your space saver.

I have a magnetic oil drain plug , and the door kick Gaurd protection too (matches the seatbelt gaurd in picture but is a different product!)

If youโ€™re below ยฃ134 total order inc shipping you wonโ€™t get stung with Import Tax, so itโ€™s a fine balance of shipping costs and size of package box. Like a catch 22, you can be strategic or buy lots and just get hit with the tax. As I said Man Maths.

As for Key cover have you considered instead of making it fatter slimming it down?

Put on my new set of black tuner nuts and gave the car a good clean in preparation for tomorrow's show in St.Andrews. Not that it'll matter much as the weather looks set to be pish. Never a dull moment ...

Don't I know it. Sunday mornings are prime time for driving for me, and I was looking forward to an early jaunt out tomorrow. Weather has been dry for ages, but low and behold, pretty much from midnight tonight...

**** sake. Trolled by the weather again :/

Drove just under 600 miles in 9 hrs through Holland, Germany and into Switzerland. Averaged 35 mpg between Edinburgh - Newcastle and Holland. Unsurprisingly the figure dropped to 30mpg in Germany! ๐Ÿ˜€ Car was great though, 9 hrs and only started to feel tired in the last hour.
