GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

how long did it take them to fit? manifold and HJS sports cat are my last bolt on mods before deciding what route I wanna go down regarding tuning

No, UK law states that any VAT registered garage using the correct parts can service your car and not impact warranty. As my car has a 3 year warranty I can get 6 services in before going to Toyota to extend the warranty and then every other one can be with Toyota as they extend it a year per service.

Same in Germany but the Eventuri intake will void it. Atleast here... Everything past the engine (e.g exhaust) however is ok.

For us any modifications will only impact warranty claims if it can be found to be a part of the issue. Have an intake but a wheel issue all fine.

Yes i should have specified this. The Intake will void the warranty claims for the engine. Other parts are fine.

I spoke to my dealer, and it definitely isn't that black and white. They saw no issue with me having an intake unless it directly caused an issue and it could be proven to have been the intake's fault.

That is what I have discussed with the dealer too. But still, you can have one random problem with the engine and they can say that is was caused by the filter. So I really am trying to avoid getting one...

The problem is I'm not aware of any decent independent garages in our area. Are you? Asking for a friend :-)

TGM Sport has done a few GRY at Fleet or I might try Regal at Southampton, whilst not a Toyota specialist they’re just changing the oil and they have a good rep with modified cars.

Had the 20k service last week and changed the spark plugs, feels slightly more reactive !
The guy who took care of my car told me that I should warm the tires up a little before using them the way they should. It seems that it changes the structure of the tire and we can see it (from shiny to mat) and it also makes more noise with it's contact on the road.

I did not hear that before and I really have no idea what would be a good indicator that my tires are warm enough. Do you guys have any ideas ?

Tyres will warm naturally, the movement of the tread blocks in normal driving is sufficient to get them up to adequate temperature. You don't need tyre warmers :D

Look at it another way, by the time your engine etc. is at operating temperature, your tyres will be ready for some action. Start pushing a bit at that point and they will quickly get into their super grippy zone.
 
The thing is, my tires when "warmed up" go to 2.3bar. However, I did pushed them a bit more a few times and they went to 2.7-2.8bar.
And this might be an indicator I can follow to know if my tires are warmed up.

What should I expect in terms of pressure in my tires as 2.3 bar is mainly reached (from 2.2 bar) by driving normally on the road ?

That's perfectly normal, you can't induce those pressures/temperatures without a bit of load on the tyres though.

As I said, just warm the car up properly then drive. Physics takes care of the rest :)
 
That's the problem actually. I always warm up the car before using it properly. But his behavior has a bad impact on my tires and that is why I was asking how I can do thing differently.

But thank you anyway.
