Dear @Onehp, it's really been a shock to me as well reading this, and I will miss you and your great posts very much, like many here will do.
What can I say about your choice? It's something I wouldn't do myself, but I totally understand your reasoning, and I'm pretty sure you are making the right thing.
You know I'm not the best fan of BEVs, and even less of BEVs that try to disguise themselves as ICE cars.
My myth, Gordon Murray, says that lightness is the only thing you can't replace if you want to have fun with a sports car, and no software of algorithm can reproduce the feedback you get when the hardware of a car is the right (and light) one.
In my opinion BEVs are the best cars for many things, but not for feeling a car like we are used in our GRYs (or Fiesta ST, Hyundai i20, even Suzuki Swift Sport, and so on)
But I'm sincerely curious about the car you are buying, and I promise I will book a test drive to judge it on the road and not just on paper.
I hope you will enjoy your new car greatly, and at the same time I hope one day you will be back here to search for a good used GRY to feel again that pure rally feeling you will miss someway here and there.
I say that just from an egoistic point of view... we need your precious contributions here! ;)

It's a shopping trolley without a wonky wheel. Family car and commuter when I worked for a living to keep kms and peak hour bumps off the M2. Was cheap, uses hardly any fuel, maintenance has been tyres and services, is noisy on coarse chip roads (crazy noisy on kumho v720s), gets blown around on the highway like a 60s beetle but is perfect for what we have it for.
 
Didn't happen today, but recently enough, so I'll cheat.

Some guy in his 70s walked up to me at a gas station: "It says Yaris on the back. My brother has a Yaris, but it doesn't look like this. What is it?"
I explain to him what it is, and he asks me about the performance figures.
"Oh In the holy hell! You have yourself a nice trip in that toy!"

Made my day 😎

This car does seem to attract attention from the middle aged to older man I find 😁 Randomly I was filling up last week in a petrol station and I had a Finn (speaking English) just shout.. “how many horsepowers?” at me.
 
I saw the N at Goodwood a few weeks ago. As EVs go it’s an interesting car. If I was going to get one it’d be on the list so I can see its appeal. Parked next to what used to pass for a “hot hatch” you can really see just how much mass has been added over the decades!

Lately I really started noticing the car rocking back and forth when applying throttle, so I finally got around to install the yellow power flex engine mount inserts. I did the torque mount last year. Had a short test drive and I could definitely feel an improvement.

Yes, it makes sense to have all three.

Not sure what's happening with the insert I have in the front engine mount.

I cannot see anything indicating it has come out of its place, but the zip tie may have given up. So, perhaps an indication of excessive forces there.

Not sure I want to replace that yellow Powerflex insert with a black one as it would be the only black one in my car and I prefer to not risk adding more NVH than I might like/tolerate.

I may replace the zip tie with two in order to hold the existing yellow insert more securely in place.

Watch out you have space on the back of the wheel for the original studs if it's the type with new offset studs (Eibach is like that iirc). Otherwise longer studs are the way to go, think H&R makes a kit like that.

Inevitably, I didn’t do enough research and yes, the Eibachs don’t work with the OEM BBS wheels 🙄

Anyone want to buy some 15 mm spacers?

So I went for my first drive today with the new SportContact7s. Did a loop of around about 80ks.
First reaction. Well I was on the expressway driving at 120kph and thinking the vehicle feels it is wandering almost like its tramlining. Not impressed.
Next, through the twisties B type road, nice sharp turn-in. A little more outright grip than the Bridgeston Potenzas that were removed.
Returning back home down the expressway still the wandering going on I'm thinking this is not right.
Check the pressures. I asked for 36psi all round and got
LHF 35psi
RHF 42psi
RHR 40psi
LHR 38psi.
Did not drive it again but assume the unequal pressures are causing the issue.
Any recommendations Re pressures for fast B type road use?.
