GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I have footwell lights in mine and that's not where the switch is meant to be. It's on the panel underneath and not visible from the seat.

But it does appear to be the same switch. Maybe install location is optional (dealer fit mine).

The lights are blue and can't be seen during daytime so try it at after dark @Navihaus

Installed SW motorsports seat lowering kit for drivers and passenger.

Took a bit of doing, but the results are fantastic, Yes they do put extra weight in the car , but not noticeable, very strong and sturdy.

Hello. Where is the place where the light should shine from?
Perhaps I have a malfunction, the backlight does not turn on.

Since the above post I took mine to Caffeine and Machine. It was sadly a bit dead due to the weather (or perhaps as there’s more venues now) but the coffee was good today at least.

Car received some cosmetic surgery on the way there courtesy of a suicidal pheasant, but better that than the Muntjac deer that thankfully did a U turn a few miles later. I’m not going to bother fixing it this time as it’s so flimsy.

Best solution to prevent this, in my opinion, is to install a Zunsport stainless Steel mesh grille (or make one up from scratch) and to cut out the excess ugly OE plastic grill. No more birdie issues !

Rear diff oil does blacken and I was worried when I swapped my poverty pac open centre for a Torsen. The oil still felt slippery and not gritty so I sent a sample away via a mate with access to such things. The sample came back A ok with the comment 'discoloured'.
Yes, it was the same for mine, the first two rear diff oil changes the oil came out black. The Tech told me not to worry, not due to overheating or any such theory, just that when they are built, the crown & pinion gear teeth are lightly greased, and not wiped off when installed. It's your diff oil that cleans it off !

No, UK law states that any VAT registered garage using the correct parts can service your car and not impact warranty. As my car has a 3 year warranty I can get 6 services in before going to Toyota to extend the warranty and then every other one can be with Toyota as they extend it a year per service.

Yeah, except that they take into warranty what they please after the three years are over even if you benefit of the "+7 years warranty"...
I've been to the "dollarship" regarding the gearbox bottom mount replacement. Toyota France "couldn't take under warranty the spare part", but agreed to knock of 80 % of the price and did the replacement for free... So, not so bad all in all, but the other two engine mounts to be inspected next, we will see what they offer.

Today, and during the past few days, removed the bumper to :
- replace the Fog Lights with 81220 & 81210-47010 Corolla / RAV-4 / Prius / Older Yaris type to allow installation of more powerful LED Bulbs to increase side visibility on B-road blasting. Put back my yellow covers on them.
- install a cooling hose to bring fresh cool air straight from the bumper to the engine oil/engine coolant heat exchanger.
- replace the OE horn with a better sounding one coming from a previous car I found in a box while looking for the cooling hose. I relocated it hidden behind the bumper near the washer fluid reservoir but still with the OE wire. Just had to add an earth.
- cut out the unnecessary part of the OE ugly plastic grille as I already had Zunsport Grille. Looks much better now.
