GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

😄 seriously, dig? Is your integrity so easily 'dented' ? Sorry, I have no reason whatso to take a dig at you, have no clue who you are, just not being agreeable which imho can be a terrible disservice. And yes, frankly I find this utterly rediculous to put effort in, and a clear case of "nothing better to do"? The only reason I put effort in writing about this rather then just shake my head and schrug it off, is a public service in a path to self improvement, just because you're 'right' doesn’t mean you should persue it. Deep breath x3 and let it go and find something actually meaningful to care about...

Well meant and much love,
/Onehp

And there you go again, I'm bored of you. Bye

….Well moving swiftly on, I drove mine up to Scotland this morning and decided to break the journey at Penrith so I could detour via the Hartside Pass and Alston then across to Hexham and up the A68.

If you ever waver about owning this car or are considering selling it, you absolutely must take it out for a drive on the right roads - highly recommend the North Pennines. I live down South now and just miss the good B roads, I genuinely think they’re up there with mountain passes elsewhere for actual fun and this car just dances between the corners. Was fantastic.

Fitted some Perspex JDM style amber spotlight covers. Don’t like them as can see the white light bleeding from the edges. Don’t recommend. Will remove and fit some lamin-x film instead after xmas and when the weather is a bit better and until I can be bothered to change the light units during a intercooler upgrade.

We've all done it. My SatNav took me through a bus route, talk about being stitched up! LOL! 😅 :ROFLMAO: :giggle: (y)
Not to, but in...

Cocked up :-(

Suspect I may have a payment to make in a few days. Hopefully no points.

Just before Christmas, I finally got my Yaris prepped for our brutal winters. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

• Full anti-corrosion treatment under the car – winter roads here are no joke.
• Repainted the rear arches and sideskirts. Couldn’t resist a few fun drives on stone-covered roads, and yeah… they wrecked the paint. Had to fix it before rust showed up. The rear wheels also took a beating from the stones, so those got some love too.
• After the paint job, I applied Immortal PPF to the most vulnerable areas and ceramic-coated the rest of the body, wheels and brake supports.
• Threw on MFF mud flaps.

I’m super happy with how it turned out! Feels good knowing the car’s ready to survive winter.

Now that the body is sorted, I can focus on the fun stuff: air intake for those sweet turbo sounds, a proper exhaust, and DEFINITELY upgrading that ridiculous horn – I cringe every time I have to use it.

Happy holidays, everyone! ❤️

As someone who has hit a pheasant in a Mk One, I can confirm that the damage was considerably greater.

On a different note. I drove from Leeds to Lincolnshire yesterday mostly on the A1. The weather was atrocious with heavy rain, strong winds and a lot of standing water. I almost always drive in track mode (50-50 front rear) and stuck with it yesterday. I left all the nanny aids on and drove sensibly, rarely going above 60mph. I had no issues but would I have been better off in normal mode (60-40 front rear) with more weight over the front wheels? Grateful for views.

In inclement weather I always stick to 50/50 with the ESP systems on (I always turn of lane assist I can't stand it). I get less understeer and the car feels like it has the most grip in this mode.

Well done, and yeah the horn is ridiculous 🤣 All I still want to do is also the exhaust, waiting on Ulter Sport i think.

Washed the GR and A2. they were quite dirty, as it has been 4-5months from last wash. Much nicer presence in garage now.
It has been a very warm December here so it was good time for washup.
Washed my GR and the wife’s Skoda today as temps about to plummet this week in our part of the world. I’ve enjoyed this warmer winter as I’ve had to clean hardly any snow from the driveway

Same, really, we have had snow twice in Latvia till now, next week though, things are about to change , and mornings when i have to get up at 4:00 or 5:00 to plow snow will once again become a reality... Washed mine as well today after the long road, was very dirty.
