GR86 "That's a fresh whip bruv"; or the Toyota GR86 collated feedback thread

Many compliments about the GR86 and it's Monaco Copper wheels at 'Bacon and Brakes' (Leuchars) today. One chap strode over and said "I watched you drive in and it really stood out, it looks beautiful". Thereby followed a conversation about how his wife wants a GR86 etc etc,.
From a safe distance I also enjoyed several compliments about my TRD Performance Intake, which was referred to as both a Supercharger and a Turbo by some probably (not-so-petrol) pseudo-petrol heads ...

I had a rather racy looking and sounding bike following me on my way out of town in my burble-wash yesterday. I think he was waiting until we were out of the 30 zones to have a play, but Alas, I turned into my housing estate where the deceleration and downshift generated the usual overrun pop and crackle which he seemed to enjoy. He gave me a flash of the lights and and a throttle blip as I transitioned into the central lane, so I gave him a "pip-pip" and he waved.

Yesterday a young lad on a bike shouted "Rev it, rev it, rev it" as I went past...
Poor deluded child 😄
I too once suffered from ED* and would avoid situations where I was encouraged to get it on. Since supplementing my performance with ‘Cobra Sports’ I’m no longer embarrassed to perform on demand! 😎

I'm rubbish at distinguishing between a casual vs a serious thumbs up 🤔

Could be! I’d also like to add that a Thumbs-Up accompanied by a sharp deflection to the left or right could mean “Jog-on…” and would therefore come under the serious category.
That's a very Scottish gesture + phrase combination 😂

Security chap at Dunkirk ferry port pulled the car to check it out (err, I mean check my bags, right?). Asked for a few photos of the car, happy to oblige (however filthy it was after two weeks abroad)😂

Parked up after a couple of runs over Hartside. The VX220 driver came over and knew what my car was 😲, then he asked if he could put his car back to back with mine for a pic. And then someone ruined the shot by parking their Ferrari in the way!

Later on, my car was parked in a quiet street, as I came back to it I saw an old guy having a good look around. "Nice car, nice colour, it's very shiny" he said even though it's filthy. Sadly he didn't ask if it was a Supra.
