GR86 Second UK Batch?

It makes me feel uneasy. What is some numpty writes it off? Imagine trying to get hold of a replacement.

I mean this car isn't so vastly different from a GT86, worst case scenario you find a good GT, and add a supercharger. And still have change left over from your insurance pay out. And probably a better car haha.

Obviously, I'd prefer to have the GR, but there are always options. Plus, I'd probably look at the GR Yaris tbh, worst case scenario! Let's just hope it never happens to any of us. Touch wood!

I just got a photo from another mate also doing a test drive in same NI dealer car.

Why are they even offering these tests drives? It just doesn't add up to me lads...

There will always be used GR86s on sale for some one keen on the very same car.. GRY is also limited in quantity.. and yet there are over 100 cars on sale atm.

To be fair there are 4000 GRY in the UK so I’m not surprised there are over 100 for sale, I find it impressive that given the number on sale and amount in the UK that sellers have held firm on price and they haven’t really dropped by much.

Wow didn't realise there are 4000 already in the UK. Agree if that's the case, GRY has held surprising well on residuals.
Was just checking used prices for GT4 today after a few months, and noticed they have come down atleast 10% if not more, since.

Yeah it’s something like 3.5k circuit pack cars and an even split of the remainder are standard and convenience pack cars. If it was released 5-6 years ago it would have dropped into the mid 20’s at two years old. I miss when the only performance cars over list were Porsche GT cars.. đŸ˜…

I thought the same. Surely all those who ordered on 20th April have had a drive by now.

I read somewhere that Toyota dealers are required to keep their GR86 demonstrators for a year so maybe they're keeping their options open just in case. Surely they could easily sell another 400 even with a price hike given all the hype surrounding the car.

Is it confirmed that Subaru won't bring the BRZ to the UK?

Atleast with GT4s it seems to be quite the opposite now.

I had a chap in Toyota Guildford tell me there was an additional batch on its way, Toyota were definitely sending a new batch through apparently.

I dont care or believe it but just adding to the speculation for no reason what so ever :D

I've not been offered a test drive, don't even know where I'd go for one - the nearest demonstrators on the list seem to be Macclesfield, Leeds or Preston which are all some distance away. I'm not overly fussed so I haven't made any effort, but I assume there must be others who haven't been offered a test drive yet either.
Subaru won't be bringing the BRZ here - they hardly sell anything anymore and they need to keep their emissions average down.

There's a branch of RRG Toyota in Salford, so I'm sure they'd bring their demonstrator over there for you if you asked. I didn't wait to asked for a test drive and I spoke to the supplying dealer who sorted it for me

Yeah, I could ask my nominated dealer, RRG Rochdale, but I'm not that bothered personally - it was more to do with the suggestion that everyone will have been offered a test drive by now.

Ive not logged in here for a while but Stockport have a demonstrator but was out when I called in. I was thinking of moving to Stockport as Macclesfield have not offered me a test drive despite saying they would as soon as they had it which was before Christmas I think. And not had any communication from them either.
Pretty poor as had my GT86 serviced there for the 3 years I had it.

Anyway have any cars gone into build yet this year ? seems as all the cars being delivered were already here from last august by the looks of it.

The guys at Stockport are really good, my brother got his GRY from there and I had allocated them as my dealer before I cancelled. Gareth the lad my brother dealt with was sound and a proper car enthusiast, had a nice FK2 Type R from what I remember.

Mine (to be delivered tomorrow) went into build in December

Both my mates that drove the car really liked it BTW.

I might ring and get a drive of it myself as everyone else seems to be :)

And these aren't 10min around the block rides with salesman sitting next you either....they're proper 1 hour solo jobs

Yes, GT4's are down 10% (or even more) from the madess of last year

My dealer flat out refused to do a solo drive of it. Despite same dealer letting me have the Yaris for an hour unaccompanied.
