GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

No mention of wheels for UK spec from what I can see, although presumably the same BBS forged.

Does appear that the Rovanpera body is painted and not vinyl, but as usual doesn't have all the detail.

Also possible this page isn't finished yet. :D

Original specs BBS forged was only for Auto’s.

The specs are so weird on the special editions.
Actually all the new page is quite confusing... Why don't they mention the Forged wheels on all specs?
I guess they come as standard in the UK, but it's a feature that deserves to be mentioned and even highlighted, in my opinion.
And what about the JBL sound system?
They mention it only for the Ogier Edition, while it's part of the optional Premium Package in the other European countries, that should come as standard in the UK, as I understood.
I dare to say that Toyota UK appears to be a bit confused about the GRY, by judging upon what they published online so far. Or they need to complete it yet, of course.

As we found with the original car each nation can specify the car differently to fit their demographic or a price point.

Got an email today saying that I'd been 'invited' to enter the Ballot for the new GR Yaris. Sorry Toyota, but not at that price-point...

I’m probably reading too much into it, but I reckon there will be further batches in any case judging by this wording (emphasis added in caps by me :p):

Customers can ask their preferred Toyota dealer to walk them through the online process, in showroom but will be CURRENTLY unable to purchase the GR Yaris 2024 directly from a Toyota dealer.

Does anyone know if the new GR Yaris is being built on a production line or by a team (as was the original). If it's being built on a production line, then maybe the original may be worth keeping instead of changing to the new one?

Interesting exceptions to the warranty regarding the special editions.

Basically anything that has been added for fun.

Just had my invite email. £44250 as previously stated for manual, only option I see is paint - eg £920 for red/grey. Not sure I’ll be upgrading as thinking about other itches I might want to scratch and may involve moving the Yaris on? Lots to think about…

Quite surprising (and worrying to their lucky owners) I'd say.
Usually limited editions are built with better grade parts than the standard car, not the opposite.
Could it be a sign that they are specifically designed for eternal garage parking? 😅

I've been wondering if they are still put together by their most skilled workers in single cells at their motomachi plant. Not heard any mention of it. Not boasting about an exclusive manufacturing process would be odd

Still built at Motomachi alongside the GR Corolla as far as we know, no evidence to suggest production has moved.

As general info, in Switzerland 🇨🇭 the future owners of the Special Editions were notified by email yesterday, in which it's stated that they will all be delivered "between the summer and the end of this year".
