GR Yaris (Gen 2) mk2 Aero package part numbers

I ordered a rear hatch glass from the AERO package from Toyota and received notification today that the part is ready for pickup. The attached photo shows the bracket glued to the glass; otherwise, the glass has no additional holes.

That’s quite interesting, do you have a part number for the product you ordered? The brackets I received have glue/bonding tabs with 3 x peelable points of contact. Not fitted mine yet though

I ordered the rear hatch glass from the AERO package with part number A68105-52D20. I previously received an offer that listed the part number A68105-52D40. I'm wondering if it's worth picking up the glass since (apparently) all I have to do is order the brackets and glue them to the glass. Has anyone already glued these brackets and installed the spoiler?

Just buying the brackets will certainly be cheaper than the glass. I’ve not fit the wing or brackets yet but it looks an easy job to do.

The design of the brackets are that they’re sprung and spread the load across 3 x contact points on the glass (displaces & cushions any excessive downforce).

To install the brackets, you’d first install the wing to the existing mounting points with the side covers removed from the wing. With the covers removed, you can see where the brackets need to be placed on the glass. The brackets would then be positioned, connected (with a 6-8mm nut that didn’t come included) & then peel the protective tabs from the adhesive whilst everything is in situ.

If you can get the brackets, I’d recommend going that route rather than the entire glass as I can imagine it’s rather expensive.

Is there glue or adhesive tape already applied to the brackets, or do they need to be glued, for example, with car window glue?

When mounting the spoiler to the hatch, are there any additional rubber seals (washers) that are placed between the spoiler and the windshield? Does anyone have a diagram (drawing) of the spoiler's parts?

Yes, the brackets already have adhesive applied. There are protective tabs that you peel off when you’ve lined them up.

The Gen1 (Type20) wing has a high level brake light. The cable passes through a grommet/seal into outer skin of the tailgate I think? I’m not entirely sure but it looks like the Aero wing has a seal around the redundant hole and a blind/blank grommet -

You can see the adhesive a bit better from this angle. The nuts required for the threaded stud on the brackets are M6, I will probably use a nut that will lock/secure to prevent it from potentially loosening etc
Thanks for the photos. Do you have any information on the torque value for this nut? If I'd known about these brackets earlier, the spoiler would have been installed already, but as it is, it's sitting in a box, waiting :cautious:

The nut for the brackets? I’d just give it a nip as far as you dare to! I’m inclined to think, a plain nut tightened less than 20NM with a small dribble of thread lock. As long as it doesn’t work loose, I don’t think it’s a torque to yield item mate.

Any luck ordering some of these elusive brackets? Mines waiting an a gargantuan box too, I think that waiting to install this wing is probably the most patient thing I’ve ever done

I ordered them on March 16, 2026 at Toyota Katowice (PL), but they are supposed to be ready for collection in mid-April :(

I ordered the wing on 17 December, received it 9th February. The brackets were unknown territory for everyone involved (glass/part numbers etc). I’d think that if you ordered the wing, the brackets would just come with it as a complete package (if ordering via Whifbitz).

I’m really looking forward to getting a chance to fit it now, it’s a nice piece of kit. As I’m installing this on a Gen1 GRY, I’m working on retrofitting a high level brake light that will be mounted internally using the HLBL pod & LED from a regular non-GR Yaris. There is no way of swapping the stock spoiler 3rd brake light into the Aero wing unfortunately.

I am looking into doing something similar. You build looks totally awesome! Is the connector the same for the LED strip on the GR and non-GR models? what is a HLBL pod?

If you have time to bring more detail about this build I'd be so grateful!! This information is priceless.
