GR Yaris (Gen 2) mk2 Aero package part numbers

No one’s going to be offering it at a discount, you also need a new rear window.
Not entirely true regarding the rear window but it certainly works in our favour.

The Gen2 & Aero Package rear glass share the same part numbers. The Gen1 however has its own part number but there doesn’t seem to be a visible difference between them.

The extra brackets on the wing bolt to a spreader plate that is adhered to the glass with sticky pads -

The brackets in the image are retrofitted & part numbers do exist (in Japan at least). Toyota UK don’t have the these numbers on the system yet.

At least we now know how this works & that people who bought the wing can do a solid install

After ordering the 52D20 rear glass part no from Toyota Llamdudno, I was called on delivery day to say Toyota had completely cancelled the order! He'd only known that once before for a Prius part that was only available in Japan.

But maybe I just need these brackets instead? Its not very clear is it.

Whifbitz recently did a test fit and said sticky pads should be fine but this doesn't inspire confidence to me. Would much rather OEM support, especially when throwing it around a circuit.

Also, the wing arrived yesterday in a mahoosive box. Still not opened it to look inside but will take pics for you all when I do so.

Not buying the rear glass IS a huge save

Paul at Whifbitz says he has ordered a bunch of the brackets/plates from Japan. He did say however the Gen2 & Aero window is the same part number. You may have been disappointed had the window you bought arrived. I’d be surprised that the windows arrive with the brackets as they have a separate P/N as per
@Juri-GR4’s post.

I asked Whifbitz yesterday about part numbers to which he replied & said no problem. Today they responded saying they aren’t giving out part numbers at the moment…🤔

Looking at the image I posted of the plate, it looks like a thick strip of adhesive tape & the bracket bonded to it with some sort of structural adhesive. Without the raised bracket, you would struggle to make sticky pads work if utilizing the extra mounting point on the wing.

My wing arrived on Monday in a massive box, I told my wife that it contained a GR pedal car as she kept asking questions. I’m counting on her not seeing the wing when I’ve installed it 😊

The box my wing came in has one part number, I’ll post it here tomorrow. It came fully assembled other than 4 x screws that were in a small bag. The wing looks as though it can be built up using individual part numbers (like the post above) but a fully assembled wing looks to come under its own single part number. I’ll report back & hopefully give some clarity.

Still waiting on my aero package bonnet, told that it currently shows as arriving in 3 weeks 🤞it doesn't get pushed back again

Has anyone fitted the rear aero spoiler to their cars yet as looking for feedback on installation etc

Were there any assembly instructions in the package?
