GR86 Insurance

I know in the bike world insurance is borked as Zurich, one of the bigger underwriters has pulled out so anything remotely sporty is insane. Was thinking of picking up a cheap Fireblade or older Tuono to mess about with and it's now the norm it's over £5-600 and still expected to have a grand of excess. Am slightly dreading 86 renewal. Even the Swift went up.

Car insurance has gone down apparently. My renewal has dropped from £510 to £410 this year, hopefully yours will be the same.

I've noticed car insurance has dropped while bike insurance has gone up. I've just bought a BMW C400 scooter to commute on and it's the most expensive vehicle I own to insure.

That's sounds good. Who did you go with? I have had my renewal quote from Howdens and was shocked by a 40% increase, £375 to £527. I was expecting a reduction!

@HowdenSpecialistInsurance had me worried this year. But all worked out in the end.

Initial renewal was a little off the mark to what I was getting on comparison websites but a short phone call and its sorted.

£950 for both the GR and Skoda. Down about £100 from last year.

With age may not come beauty but certainly cheaper insurance!

Just done the renewal with Admiral Multi-car for my GR with limited mileage and my i20N daily. £722 with all mods (lots of them too) declared for both cars.
That is a great 2 car garage. I weigh up all the time what to replace the Swift with and am leaning towards another smaller car as I'm on country lanes all the time as part of doing mountains. the i20N and i30N are both great cars. Only negative I'd seen about the i20N was rev hang. Have you found this? Was it just a heavy flywheel or a quirk of the map like the 86?
