the rear diff is not to bad IMHO. same as mine after 1400miles. I was concerned it looked reddish, but thats how the OEM oil is. So it has not turned completely black as in some YT videos.
Cheers yeah they didn't look too bad, not completely black at least.

Did today my traditional 50km recce run - it had snowed 3-5cm and it was partially VERY slippery (still having hard time to learn this tyre) - occasionally it was like on ice. Maybe the damped snow and new snow combo is not best in terms of grip.

Went once almost ’to the other side’ from 40kmh as turn was downhill and car didnt want to stop with ABS. Had fun and learned again to respect the car and the sudden situations that might occur. Best to practice car dynamics on familiar route!

Still like the sport mode most. Track mode seem to be little weird how the front end hooks ( as it comes little after rear) so car does not behave as well and logically with that what it does on sport mode. Easier to go rear end first..!

It is definitely getting better towards end of the year even though have driven fun drives maybe 10% what I did during summer..!

Great stuff @mattipuh , would love to be able to go driving in those sort of snowy conditions 😎

I assume you must have some safety/rescue kit in the car in case you get stuck? Wouldn't be good to get stuck in a snowbank overnight!

👍🏻👍🏻
Good thinking @Chris64 - I had a shovel and winter shoes but definitely too light - some kind of manual winch would be best tool if one gets lost in ditch.

Usually driving carefully to avoid any problems but you never know..

In the video went almost off (1min 30s) as it was downhill turn and car didnt want to stop - that is not that visible in the video but it was really slippery. Actually prefer doing the adventure drives on gravel as there the grip is more constant thus is safer to drive.

The amount of air / snow the rear fenders push out is quite a lot! Had my rear wheels in inbalance due to ice but driving some minutes in snow seemed to balance them out quite abit!

Got my windscreen washer frozen when drove up for Christmas. It was a bit funny as I used -20'C fluids and it was only -14'C when it froze.
Got back home now to warm garage and car had sat in there for almost 20h but still windscreen washer is not working. Weird as it should have melted if it was frozen..

Not much have happened here after returning back home.
Eventually windscreen washer started working after being 48hrs in warm garage - maybe it was frozen after all. still, it froze down way to easily as was using winter stuff in the washer (-20'C).

Today it has been -4'C degrees and was amazed this morning how much grip these tyres provide - really lots of variance on available grip!

Thought this morning that GR is the car with which I've been going most sideways ever. Its also the car with which I've almost crashed the most. Mostly due to varying amounts of grip from the tires. Most exiting yet dangerous. Oh la la. ❤️

Yep, important to practice and develop techniques to 'feel' the grip available (understeer, scandi, tap brakes and even handbrake) and assuming worst case always on approach of an unexplored bend (basically any bend if not going round and round on a round course...)

Washed the car (needed tar remover to get salt off) and got some equipment for winter fun in case of going off.. hope we will get on ice track soon!

This is what was still left after foam and hand wash..!

Didn't get the ice rink ready yet but have had little fun on snowy roads.
Had so far my longest drift in 180-degree ramp - car is so fun to play around with weight transfer! No issues with understeer as you get the front end loaded properly before the turn in.

Added some front camber (maxxed out one dot bolts so close to -2.5 degree) car feels much better now. Still due to do alignment, might go with less toe up front but lets see

Put lightweight battery on - its crazy how much lighter the lithium battery is. Car felt more lively now - maybe due to both lighter rear axle and added extra camber. Just amazing what kind of car we have just ordered..!

Eager to test the driving without rear seats as car gets much better from all the lost weight.

Argh - swapped the front camber bolts in and got weird knocking sound from the front left(?) in return. Seems to disappear when pressing slightly brake.
Checked wheels and dust protection plates behind front disc - all seem to be free to turn, yet something is hitting somewhere.
Sound appears when turning slightly or going straight, turning more seem to remove the sound (as does braking).

Got hint to do few proper brakings and check if its just residual but somehow feel it is something mechanical.
Oh well..

Not buckled wheel and touching strut? I had that once took me a while to find it.

buckled? took wheels off and put them on again, same story.
need to check that strut thing. car is going to alignment in few hrs so maybe ask them to check if they find anything strange in front.
I have 9J wheels with ET45 offset so they should be fine but everything is possible.

Sound is constant, frequency rises per speed so its wheel related, comes from going staright or turning slightly and disappears when braking or turning more.
