When I saw my car briefly at the dealers, I noticed the boot has a wheel well and what looked like space for at least a space saver wheel.

As we're off to Le Mans next year, I'd rather take a working wheel (albeit a bit of a naff one) in the boot than rely on the puncture goo. As well as have it in the boot for (dirty but without the dogs) weekends away etc.

Does anyone who is more familiar then me with Toyota space savers know which one to go for?

(The O/H is French so I've no doubt I can get another tyre if need be, but don't want to have to rely on that if you know what I mean.)

I bought a GT86 spare on eBay. Will keep scissor jack from old car
Does it definitely fit the GR? Is it the same diameter including the tyre? You don't want different wheel sizes on the same axle.

Picked up a space saver at last including jack etc. The size is pretty much spot on for the 18s so should be fine.

After comparing lots of different section tyres, diameters and offsets, I found the best one was from a 2007ish Legacy so it's Subaru OEM.

Thanks.
I was just looking for GT86 spare wheels. Looks like I need to expand my search.

I've still got the spacesaver I had for my gt86 but need a jack to go with it.

Steel and alloy do really need different profile nuts yes. A few miles to the tyre repair shop should be ok.

But yes, I'll get some Steelie compatible nuts soon (y)

So fitted the space saver today and it seems the standard nuts will be OK on the steelie I got - if only for an emergency, which is the point I guess.

So 55 offset is the winner?

And where did you get yours from?

The brakes are the same as the old car so you should be fine
