GR86 GR86 Space saver?

Anyone seen these? I like the idea of having a new kit with a big drive coming up soon...
Was tempted for my Scotland trip but is a bit pricey. Dal's setup will be best but finding one is the hard part. Have a Subaru dealer within walking distance so could ask them how much would one be.

I came across this site while trying to look for better prices, listed the gr86 as RH118, but thats down as the Legacy spare.
Frustrating that i cant find any information on spec to see why these two would need different part numbers.

Part Code:RH118

Hi all just in case anyone may be interested. I have fitted a full size wheel in the boot. This does cut the height of the boot down as the floor sits higher by about 50mm. I investigated as I am off to the NC500 this week an did fancy being caught out. I have a full set of stock wheels spare so didn’t want to buy a space saver see photos. Bolted the wheel down with the part from my MK2 MR2

Good thinking - enjoy the trip✌️

Got mine from https://www.sparewheelcity.co.uk/
17" which is adequate and fits better in the boot. Includes jack and wheel brace @ £129.00
Hi Steve, have you tried fitting it yet to check clearances and see if the jack and brace are up to the job? I will probably go down this route for peace of mind and get a lock down bolt from somewhere to secure the wheel.
Many thanks.

Strangely no i've not tried it which is a bit stupid, i'll do it tomorrow and report back. I removed the middle section of the foam to fit it in the boot and carved away a bit of the left side foam to fit the jack in. Had a bolt in my box of bolts and with the aid of a washer and a 4" used cutting disc, bolted it down.

I would have had a sleepless night so a quick wheel change later:

Took it down the road and turned it round, all seems ok.

Then back to my "original" which I bought for the GT and fitted to the GR much to most peoples disgust.

Ended up going with the RoadHero wheel/kit as I wanted it sorted quickly before my big drive this weekend.

Delivered in one day and looks like a good quality kit, just hope I never have to use it.

I have a full size spare as well but I've left the floor in the garage. Does it work OK? I presumed it would snap as soon as you put anything heavy on one of the sides

I bought an ebay Gt86 space saver but when I test fitted it, there was a slight rub on the caliper

I just bought the same spacesaver from sparewheelcity.
The size is 125/70/R17

Hi Someday yes it works fine just got back from 1800 mile trip with all out kit in and the boot floor is all good. You do loose a bit of height but will still get suitcases or hold all in.

This would give you back that space if you wanted something tailor fitted. The two cars have the same shape boot.
