GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Collected mine yesterday. Think I’ve been lucky as no issues with registration etc - a very smooth process. Must say, when I first saw it, I thought it looked better in the flesh than all the pictures. Very pleased with it - it’s worth the wait!!
You have exquisite taste, friend.

I agree, the car definitely looks better in the flesh.

The metallic blue looks great too.

Enjoy!

Have any magnetite grey cars been delivered yet? Wouldn’t mind seeing one in the harsh British winter light before mine arrives.

I thought it looked a bit light on the Toyota website, but it's darker in the flesh.

The first pic is in very bright sunlight.

We didn't know when the demo cars were due, so we don't have a baseline to measure them against. It's industry-wide at the moment. When I placed the order for my Alpine, I was told that the area they are having the biggest issue with is delivery. My car is currently sat in the import centre waiting to be transported across.

I do feel for you, I hope you get your car sorted soon. My order is still processing! Who knows what the world will be like when it's due for delivery in 'early 2024'!!
@RedGR86 When you get your alpine check it very carefully. A friend has just had his a110 delivered and it was covered in fairly deep scratches which look like its been cleaned with a sponge covered in grit. They've then polished it to get rid of them, but not bothered to clean the polish splatter in the door frame and engine bay to cover up the repair. They've also burnt through the paint in one area while polishing and torn the boot liner while removing it for some reason.

His sat for 2 months for a 'sat nav update'. It feels like they've got some work experience teenager to wash the car after it's been sat, then had to patch it up afterwards.

Where did he get it from? I'm not sure how much prep I want them to do on it...

Mine arrived in derby months ago, and showed there on the APP.

Then last week it showed back at Portbury lol

Two days later it arrived at the dealership.

Perhaps the APP throws a little wobbly when it's inbetween locations?
Ooh that could be it! MyToyota online has reverted to Portbury now you mention it.

Has anyone been able to get information from dealers relating to their transporter delivery schedules? Feel like that’s the only way anyone with a car stuck in Derby is going to get any sort of information as to when their car will arrive at the dealer seeing as the GRs are at the behest of the dealer’s usual delivery slots.

I asked my dealer this and he says transporters often come with one or two for them. Makes no sense why it's delayed. Unless there's a physical issue with the cars. The demo had an EML on when it arrived and was a week later than expected.

I keep being told 'we don't work in logistsics and therefore all we can do is keep checking if it has been PDI'd centrally'. Black hole of information, so no change.

My estimated delivery to dealer is now 30/12 with an expected collection date of 3/1/23. I do have a reg now which is nice, spoiler is ready to be fitted at the dealer too. Slowly but surely!
