No one's like "I'm skint and need to sell."

Had an obscure, independent family dealer offer me £29,750 and they'll settle finance and collect so if not sold before Sunday will likely take their offer.

Seeing as you can cancel even at the point of delivery, yeah I agree - it’s total BS.

But they do say they've priced the car very sensibly. ****s.

To be fair, it does happen. But, there's no need for a life story in the advert itself. You can save that for the phone call to the seller when you are interested.

It seems to keep happening to people who are trying to make a profit from this car. One of them who posted on here said he was going to be selling it before he placed his order, then once the order was confirmed he advertised it and said his circumstances had changed.

Makes me mad is what it does.

Price will be whatever it was at the time of order. Probably a couple of £k in it at the price listed, but not sure it’s worth it for the hassle, and I don’t think it will pay off in the current climate! Guess if they get to the delivery date and no-one has gone for it, they’ll just cancel.

The GR will be our only car so I’ll keep it until SWMBO decides we need a “normal” car again.. That or we’ll get another Smart car as a runabout.. loved the 451 we had

I’ll be happy with a small loss or break even if the prices stay strong.. That’s all you should hope for
