GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

Thanks

I only got as far as the first estimate om Motorway, perhaps the actual offers would be better if I proceeded further.

Not in a rush to sell so will see if anyone finds it here for a bit before going the dealer route .

This thread is useless without a picture😉🤣🤣👍
Which model, 981 or 718?

After 3 years and 3 months, I finally had to say goodbye to my GR86 yesterday...

Unfortunately, life's gotten in the way of being able to enjoy it over the last year or so, and I've realised this 30 grand wonder is wasting on my driveaway more often than not. On top of that, we're in the middle of a big house move, so any extra cash is more than welcome.

For any prospective buyers, I can vouch the car is in a mint condition, with a recently replaced windscreen and nearly perfect paintwork, as I've been babying it over the last few years. It had an interim break-in service and was serviced with Toyota ever since, so it's covered under their warranty until Dec '26 and has a fresh MOT. Additionally, it comes with the Toyota mudflaps, rear parking sensors and the GR aero cover. It should also come with its unique private plate "GRZ 868", so it will certainly stand out from the crowd.

The good news for any current owners here is the potential resale value - my car was brought back to stock condition prior to the last service and I was receiving £27.5-29k quotes across Carwow and Motorway over the last couple of months. When I put it up for sale last week, I did not expect the winning bid on Motorway to come in at £30.5k. I won't be naming the dealer, but it's easy to find, as I believe it's the only baby blue GR86 on sale at the moment!

It's not exactly a farewell from me yet, as I'll keep an eye on the community for the foreseeable future and am already considering my next purchase. I will miss the car, but I'm hopeful someone else will be able to enjoy it even more than I did over the coming years. Drive it the way it deserves to be driven. 🙏

PS: I have the following mods for sale, so keep an eye on the sales section if you're interested in any of them:
  • BBS RS803 - these are genuine split BBS wheels from an Audi Mk1, finished in silver/gold that have a near perfect fitment on the GR86 with no spacers required
  • H&R Springs - only used for around 3k miles; these provide about an inch drop all around and don't require bump stops trimming (unlike Tein's)
  • Remark Axleback - around 4k miles use, in very good condition with no dents or rust
  • Billetworkz Knob - perfect condition and finish
  • Powerflex PowerAlign Camber Bolt Kit (14mm) PFA100-14 - allow for a ~2 degrees camber adjustment on the front axle
Here it is in its full (modified) glory:

Hey guys. Just in case anyone is interested, I’m considering selling up. Mine is a bit different from most. Here’s the details and some photos from last year. It literally has not stopped raining for two months so can’t do new photos until it does.

If you’re serious about selling, can you post this in the appropriate sub forum with the details to avoid this thread derailing into offers or questions about the car on sale please.
